This one is a well made movie. It’s different than the Steve Martin version in that it is far more serious. It takes chances which I great appreciated I hate when movies just basically do shot for shot remakes. This movie does not do that.

I like how they put a different spin on this one. Still has humor, and lots of drama. Finally a remake that didn’t go to garbage like most do. Seems like a novela but in a movie form. But Steve Martin will always be the best one. Can’t beat a classic!

Actually the 1991 film with Martin and Keaton was a remake as well. The original Father of the Bride was a film made in the 1950s.
