Father Ray when I happened upon your REM song on BGT, I was in a depressed time in my life. We had just moved to the state of Texas, Galveston County near Galveston Island. Four months after we bought our house, Hurricane Harvey brought two feet of water into our home and we lost everything we had. Well except for each other. A year later we moved back into the renovated house that didn't feel like home with nothing being familiar anymore. Strange furniture, letters from my son and mother gone....... anyway... After I listened to your rendition of Everybody Hurts... and at the end you added "You are not alone!" It raised my spirits.... I got busy unpacking and kept playing your song over and over until I got my chin up and got back with the job of living. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. (I am Catholic and a Kelley as well.) My family being originally from County Cork. I hope to visit Ireland within the next decade and hope to meet you someday. Carry on, sharing the inspiration.

My mother was scotch/ Irish. Grandma came from Scotland & grandpa from Ireland mom loved St. Pat's day , proud of her heritage. Malone's the name!!!!
