I have a high functioning autistic son, so I understand the father's point of view. It's not easy for him or her. It's hard to not be in protection mode. However, you, at some point, have to be confident you did a good job, and it's time to let them fly. True love is hard to find, period. This worked out for the best. Great family.

I'm an autistic man and I have dealt with this every time I found a woman who accepts me for who I am. It started when I was in high school. I was asked out by a girl with down syndrome. I called her on the phone and told her mother that I was her boyfriend which she did not approve, and that really tore me up on the inside. What's worse is her parents got our teacher involved, and I really lost my cool. Then I fought a guy over her, and that's when she decided she didn't want a boyfriend anymore. That incident scarred me for life.

I have autism and I do admit, I have a problem finding a girlfriend who understands me for me. I feel that I don’t have the skills and the nerves to ask someone for a date and get to know them to see if we could have a relationship. I don’t really celebrate Valentines Day but there is a friend of mine that I really like that has a dog. She one time said the dog was her Valentine and didn’t have a human Valentine. I didn’t have a Valentine either. So from that point onward, I said that I would be her human valentine. I sent her a card this year. She and I need to keep it on the friendship level, but I know that she appreciate the thought and the hard work that I put in for this to happen. I know that relationships take one step at a time and a lot of patience.

I happen to be on the spectrum, along with my other three siblings. This video really inspires people to really show respect and appreciation to people who have autism. It may not be easy, but it’s better to go through it together than to go through it alone. Keep up the good work Sam. With spring almost here, and for a fact that Los Angeles is a city with so many diversities, it would make a great video idea. An Indian individual helps out their Mexican neighbor with Cinco de Mayo festivities. It just goes to show how diverse our culture is today, and how we can help one another
