He [Lord Jesus] deepens the message and makes it more graphic saying the living bread is His flesh and unless we eat it and drink His blood, we have no life in us. And here we arrive at the foundational teaching, coming from the mouth Christ Himself, for the Eucharist... (Not to belittle the Eucharist, but ... so goes an article by Saint George Greek Orthodox Church on the Bread of Life which skips over omitting Lord Jesus saying: My words are spirit and life, the flesh profits/benefits nothing. {And} [true worshippers] will worship in spirit and truth.
