You are a great teacher, Father. Your lesson from your Sunday School teacher moved me to tears. How beautiful and true.

Thanks for your video! My church still cannot use my mother language through all liturgy, and sometimes I cannot understand the meaning behind the chant and words, so keep learning!

Bless Father thank you and I totally love Orthodox. I understand your frustration with other Christian expressions, try not to be offended by people who honestly don't understand Orthodoxy. There will be prodestants who will come to you looking.... Looking for the Church. Bless Father שלום

About priests enjoying talking, St. John Crysostom says, "After professing that I should say nothing on these points, I know not how I have been carried away into such a length of exhortation." :-)

Our churches congregations are getting smaller ,simply because 90% of people who attend do not understand what is going on . This is what is needed someone to explain it to them like your doing step by step.

"Iti is time for the Lord to act." Per Fr Thomas Hopko. Where does this enter into the beginning of the Divine Liturgy? Perhaps the answer if found in Psalm 119, verse 126.
@BeTransfiguredMinistries3 жыл бұрын
“It is Time for the Lord to act” is not an actual part of the Liturgy. It is a dialogue between the deacon and the hierarch or presiding priest done immediately before the start of the liturgy

@@BeTransfiguredMinistries Thank you for taking the time, Father. I didn't really expect a reply to a comment regarding a video posted in 2012. I found the Hopko lecture; gave it a second listen and see that you’re correct. The point I had honed in on was Fr Hopko’s emphasis that it is God who is acting as the D. Liturgy begins and the people’s prayers signifying the starting point. Thank you for the clarification. I am stuck in what frequently feels like so all help is appreciated. BTW, you’ve turned GRAY since 2012; and look a touch larger, too! Hehe. The Parts 1 and 2 videos, which led me to you, led me to checking out your channel. I have quite a few KZbin priests I follow regularly (and rely on). I look forward to listening to your homilies. Peace in Christ, Mark Mark Thomas M. My family’s black sheep
