Ms Sydow, you are a singular delight. Your recipes are exceptional, and your no-nonsense approach to the production of your content is utterly refreshing. I'm in Durban, I know a little about food. I've cooked your Chicken Ahkni so many times, and half your other dishes. In a world of online content, where narcissists waffle on with pre read instructions about searing meat, how to chop this, peel that, and overcomplicate everything to the point of distraction, and clearly dont cook ( you can see from how a person stirs a pot if they cook), your channel is the breath of fresh air. It's perfect. Listen carefully Ms Sydow, because people are going to start noticing you and before you know it they will have ideas in how to "improve" it, to "refine" it and other forms of k@k masquerading as "expertise." Ms Sydow, your channel is original, and perfect. It feels like I watch you making dinner at home every day. I've been watching every day. And I watch every day. Don't change it. It feels like being in your home. Your food is real, it's great, and your personality shines through your voice. The way you laugh, the softly spoken lilt of your tone, the sheer enjoyment you have, your obvious love of food, and the lack of affectation, and overproduction all combine into an deeply compelling, and heady mix of joyful moments, framing food in context of proper culture, captured in every dish. The viewer feels like you're right there, nay better, that they are right there with you, in every moment. You're going to be a legend. Just keep it like it is. That angle of the pot, is going to be iconic. I remember Pieter Veldsman at Emily's decades ago, before the fancy lights and waterfront premises. I remember that house in Woodstock, with plastic chandeliers and blue rooms. He called it Cordon Boer, Boere Chic. Like Etienne at Bontehuis; when the cutlery didn't match in an electric blue warehouse with mismatched "alles", before food became global ethnic-Jamie Oliver-Masterchef se whatever-k@k. You're the real deal. Like when Cass Abrahams was making bredie that they called Cass-ooh-lay (because it was as iconic as Cassoulet in France.) Because real food is the new cuisine. And home cooking the new couture. Kombuis Couture. I think you're brilliant.

While living in the Cape I grew to love the Cape Malay cuisine. Moved back up north and had to find some good authentic recipes and came about Fatima by chance. Now you're the only channel I turn to when I need to make something new I have made a variety of your dishes and they never fail to deliver. I love the way you present your channel straight to the point. Many times I'll have the tv on and cook step by step with you. So cool.😎

Faaaaaaantastic pot of mince curry especially for vetkoek!! When I saw the curry leaves I got excited because I love curry leaves in my curries. I have a big curry leaf tree in my yard. It is not easy to grow here in Cape Town but we have been blessed in having it grow so big.

Good afternoon gorgeous Fatima, this was the first dish I cooked at the age of nine. It's still one of my favourite to cook. I am very passionate about food all sorts of foreign dishes but always cook the food of my childhood. My dad was Portuguese and mum South African who were both wonderful cooks in their own right. The bulk of my family are all Muslim especially from dads side. I only got to know most of them after dad's passing. I love to be around family to cook and see them enjoy their food. You're a very inspirational lady where getting a lot of young people cook for their families. I love everything that you cook and it helps me to a lot. I care for my husband who is very sick twenty four seven and always think what to cook on a daily basis. Shukran my dear Fatima ❤️

I actually have bookmarked playlist on my fave You Tube videos called Fatima's recipes. I've tried a few of your recipes and it's like being transported home . Proper, tasty ,flavourful food. I live in NZ and I only know of one place in Auckland that makes anything close to the proper Cape Malay food I used to eat and make in SA. Not even the spices are the same unless you hunt down a proper Indian spice shop I miss home so, so much. Your videos make me miss home even more .
