We make something very similar but for the Indian spices called Picadillo. It was a staple in my Mexican household growing up. All I would need do is change the spices and pick up some naan instead of tortillas and I can add another Indian dish to my repertoire! I've learned so much following your channel. Thanks, chef Latif!

I'm not sure how your channel came to be recommended by KZbin, but I'm glad it was and at a time when I had been thinking about curry and craving it greatly. I knew I'd not cooked one for a long time, because I lost my mum in September and know I hadn't made one since. For an eighty something Welsh woman displaced to Manchester she was adventurous with food and loved curry. Cooking them makes me think of her and the curry nights she used to do for her brother whenever he visited, when we were kids. Your channel has inspired me to cook curry again. I've employed some of your techniques in the curry I made the other night, especially the way you cook your onions down, giving them plenty of oil and plenty of time with the garam marsala. Not sure what curry I made, it was a bit of a hybrid of the video and the type of curry I like to make whenever I go camping. Thank you buddy, I'll be taking inspiration from your videos from now on, there's so much to explore. My mum would have approved.

I usually make Latif's mother's recipe and his recipe for Keema, but tried this out, because I only had ground beef on hand. It was wonderful as usual. TBH, all three were perfect!!!! The only thing I would change is too remove the skins of the tomatoes, put in boiling water for one minute or so, before using in the Keema. My hubbie has a thing about tomato skins in a dish, so I make sure to keep him happy. Thank you, Latif. Greetings from Ft. Worth, TX.

Years ago ( a lot) I was sent to Goa to help rebuild some infrastructure from floods etc. Before going, could not put pepper on my food. 3 month later, after having to eat some of the most amazing tasting food in villages one of my 2 favourite dishes, Keema and Highway chicken curry. It took me another 25 years to learn how to cook, seriously, I set the kitchen alight twice and could cremate toast. But could never get Keema in a restaurant to taste like how I remembered (forget HCC, never gona happen). So I got some lessons and followed this. 30 fricking years later I am back in Ganjem. Grats

Exiled Bradfordian here. Keema always takes me back to my first curry after a punk gig at the university. We’d been to see Vice Squad and it got a bit tasty near the end of the show. We legged it down the hill when the rozzers turned up and dived into a place called the Moonlight. I think the bhajis cost 25p and the keema about a quid. Chapattis and salad included.
