I am REALLY appreciating these finishing videos. I cannot watch these enough, regardless of the finished project. Rewatching the measuring and fitting process is so helpful to me! Thank you!!!!

Thanks Kimberly, it was so relaxing to watch. I love how you made “Finishing” your own! Steps are easy to follow, and I’m feeling more confident. Thank you to Lori, and everyone behind the tutorial too!

What a great finishing project. I’m so impressed you will have to make a cute “handyman” belt for yourself and the tools. Go FatQuarter shop!

Something I’ve noticed is that your finishing tutorials never clip the corners to mitre them. Is there a reason why you don’t do that? It makes for a cleaner edge and less bulk (it’s used all the time in book binding and paper craft) but this isn’t something you show. Are you planning on someday taking the project apart and re-finishing it?

Hello Seven and The Littlest Mew! We haven’t tried clipping corners but we will try it out in the future. Thank you for the suggestion!

@@FatQuarterShopFlossTube Ah! I thought maybe it was a “conservationist” approach to mounting the piece, which can also be useful if someone decides to remove the original mounting and re-mount or re-frame. It’s something to keep in mind. My mom had to re-frame one of my grandma’s cross stitch pieces, and someone might re-frame mine, too. So that is originally why I was asking. ☺️☺️
