a version of Oil for other elements could be something like 'Soak', covering the target in water to increase ice and lightning damage. heck, that's exactly how things worked in FFCC

Bomb King is pretty notorious a fight with its Renew. It's actually a Technick so Silence won't work -- but he IS vulnerable to Silence which is still useful as it prevents Fira, and forces it to do single target attacks. As for dealing with the Renew.....you inflict Disease. This is actually a strategy for a number of bosses (Including Antilion) to get around their critical phase. As for inflicting it.....at the point you were at pretty much the only way is to find a Meteorite B, which is a 5% item drop from a chest with the Diamond Armlet on (IF you get an item in the first place).....there does happen to be one in the Save Crystal area which could be farmed. As for Time Magic not hitting, you might have missed it -- right before the Antlion is an accessory called the Indigo Pendant, which would make infliction guaranteed. Also incidentally I assume you didn't know about elemental boosting -if Fran were use a Cherry Staff, Aeroga would have hit for more like 6000 (or maybe even more) despite being the second weakest staff.

The weapon Categories in FF12 got some different scaling. Penelos Pole Weapons deal psysical Damage, but use the Enemy Magic Defence as calculations and ignores the Defence Stat.

Someone can correct me but if you didn’t know when you perform an action there’s something I like to call ‘action delay’. It happens when you perform an action imagine its sort of like a hidden cooldown system like your bar is almost having to deplete before it can start filling again (I assume it’s to be able to stop spamming items since they have instant cast times and all you have to do is wait for the animation).The action delay is very noticeable if you use items. If you want to play around it you can actually change your equipment after that action has been performed in battle and there will be little to no delay between your previous and next action which can be really helpful.

The sky stones ( the things that make the ships fly in this game ) don't work above the sand sea, that's why you had to walk to the tomb The leviathan was able to fly to it because it had the super duper special stone that powered the ship

Poor Penelo. I bought IZA after you started this series for a one-job playthrough and she reminds me of my Ashe (Knight). She doesn't do anything better than my Shikari but I just chuck her in to keep her levelled up in the hopes that I RNG my way into an OP weapon from a drop/treasure that makes her relevant again.

Time for the weakly dose of Clemps Light plays one of the best FF games. Good taste on Zalera. I think you can also go for Adremmalech at this point too, he is somewhere in the desert underground caves. Just keep up the grind and get better for Christmas Christmas

I can explain the bit regarding “bastard sword”😅 I forgot it was present in FF12 as well, since it’s been a long time I have played it, and it’s most of the time today, connected to FromSoftware games. It is basically a Northern Italian creation at around 14th century AD, the idea was to make a hybrid, so to speak, of two handed swords and one handed swords, which was seen by Western martial art schools as illegitimate, and an unwanted “child” by both categories of swords, hence the name, it doesn’t have a very evil spirit that likes to torture people or anything of the sort to deserve the actual insult. A bastard sword is an actual type of sword. It's classified as such due to its historical origin being unknown, despite existing historically anyway. It's a sword that's too long to be a short sword, but too short to be a long sword. In short, it is politically correct to call a bastard sword a "bastard sword".
