Fault Codes for Power Chairs with GC Joystick

Thanks guys! You guys have helped me to troubleshoot my neighbors scooter. Thru random good deeds, I've become the caretaker for my neighbor for the last 3 years. I recently found her a 2002 jazzy with new batteries. One of the residents where she just moved to has a scooter also and they took it several blocks away and the batteries died, she began walking it back after putting it in neutral and now it will only go a few feet or for a few minutes and then it stops working and the wrench light comes on then it stops moving. To temporarily combat this you simply plug it in for a minute then it goes again only to stop and your forced repeat that process. Now I think I know what needs to be done, I don't know how many times it flashes but I can say she never reset the battery so I'm gonna start there. Thanks you guys.

Look at how many times it flashes. Once you have the flash count, google the chair and the flash count and it will come up with an error code. Give is a call and we can assist you on what you will need to resolve this issue.

My joystick flashes like 8 to ten times and then it doesn’t come on. I can’t even move.😢

Give us a call to speak to you about this issue. The lights should flash a certain amount of times and end with a pause in the flashing before starting to flash again. This is an error code for the issue at hand. Let us know how many flashes it is exactly and we can look to see what the error is and give you an idea on what the issue is and what can be done. i have a jazzy elite power chair.. bought used.. i am in a wheelchair myself but occasionally buy and repair and give to someone who cant afford one..jus got one.. and the lights flash 8 times when unplugged .. but when plugged up i can move it around and what not.. any ideas?..was told bad batteries.. the cvharger it came with was bad.. so bought a new one

I had one ed light flashing installed new batteries fully charged, where should I look now. Comes on, horn works but chair does not move and still has one red flashing light??

It could be the unit is in freewheel mode and not in gear. You can check the lever going to the motor which will be either yellow or red. Move that lever and see if you are able to drive the unit after.

Most likely your batteries are dead and need to be replaced.

What chair do you have? How charged is the battery and when was the last time the battery was charged. Could be a battery issue or could be some other issue.

I had a 8 flash code and now I have a 4 flash code I need some help over here I don't have the money to have a service tech look at it I've got to do this myself please help

8 is typically a bad power module and 4 the chair is in freewheel
