Fault finding on a Baxi 800, no hot water, no heating

Great video, my main eco 30 (same as the baxi 800) was not producing hot water and central heating didn’t work. I followed all your checks even pulled out the electrode and flat plat heat exchanger. My boiler had no error codes and the tap sign would flash when asking for water and rad symbol would flash when asking for heat. The pump would run and you could hear the diverter do it check on start up. The fan didn’t run. THE ONLY READING INCORRECT ON TESTING WAS THE DHW SENSOR ON THE DIVERTER VALVE WAS READING 500ohm INSTEAD OF 1k ohms !!!!! I replaced the sensor £7.50 and my boiler now works perfectly. without this video I probably of gone with a PCB (£170) or fan pcb (£250). So glad I watched it first. Don’t suppose you fancy doing a video on how to test the fans pulse width modulating function? That’s the only part of the boiler I couldn’t work out how to test.

You could do it with an oscilloscope I reckon. Measure pulse width modulation that is.

It's always kind of annoyed me how manufacturer engineers can attend and plug in some software and get the lowdown of what's happening when we can't. They can do that, right?

Hi which sensor was faulty on yours? Was it hot water ntc in the video its 9mins and 40 second into the video? I dont have any error codes but the hot water and ch flashing for demand but won't fire up, pump runs diverter moves but cant hear the fan run

@@asdaasda4967 yes mate that’s the one right next to the diverter valve measure the ohm and mine was out of wack making the control unit think the water was already hot. Let’s us know if replacing it fixes the problem.

fitted three boiler last week, 2 Worcester Bosch 4000's and one Baxi 818 System 2, actually prefer the older 600 and 800's to be honest, they seem I dunno, more sturdy than the new ones. Great vid to help fault finding.

In my case, after replacing the boiler with a baxi 800, the water works when the heating is on, otherwise it does not heat the water. What could it be
