Something for viewers to note - not all Baxi Boilers have the two blue valves underneath, some of them are designed with a single lever which is green. You pull this green lever to reintroduce the water pressure and when the indicator reaches the green, you release it (i.e. push it back in place.) This happens within a couple of seconds, at least with ny Granddad's boiler it did. Good luck!

Hi Benscooter1, thanks for the feedback. Thanks for this helpful video. What does it signify please if this fault presents often? I have a newly installed Baxi 830.
@UtechUreview2 жыл бұрын
Hello J K. The main code fault is low boiler water pressure. If it presents often you might have a radiator leak in so get someone in to check your radiator or boiler system out. Check to see if your radiator is bleeding from the compression nut or union valve where you have your lock shield valve. Your nut should be tightened back if loose., a power flush and radiator bleed might suffice if you have a bleed and a pressurised system and not a conventional system.Also try topping up when your boiler isn’t hot due to expansion of hot water when it is hot as it might descend quickly as your boiler cools down. @@UtechUreview Thanks so much for the helpful reply - I’ve subscribed and shared! Could this code signify an issue with the boiler itself? It’s new and appears to have lost pressure slightly since the flow and return valves were closed 24 hours ago.

Note some Baxi/Main boilers will have a flexible filling loop - a foibles metal hose - rather than the rigid arrangement with blue valves as shown here. The hose will be a slightly different position but there should also be two levers/taps on the pipework either side and these can be turned in the same way as those in this video to raise the pressure.

Big thanks to you mate blue error light has now gone and my heating is back up, only bought this new build house a year ago I thought there was no way it’s broken already! One question though I feel like my valves were already turned on? Would that matter if one is on and one is off? The boiler is on now but I don’t know if the valves are actually off or not?
@UtechUreview6 күн бұрын
Hi Worlidy, Appreciate the feedback. Apologies for coming back to you late. Glad you are sorted. The repressurisation process typically involves allowing water or repressuring the central heating system. After repressurisation, you should close out. It matters if they stay open instead of closed out after repressurisation. Closing them out enables the central heating system to maintain good pressure and the repressurisation valves prevents the boiler from over pressurisation which goes from green to red dial state and boiler could implode. For safety reasons always close out after repressurisation. Don’t forget to subscribe, like and share. Helps channel grow. Happy holidays

Hi Zoe, I presume this is a different model of boiler ? and you have two black valves on the filling loop in front and 2 black valves at the back? The 2 two black valves on the front of your boiler can be used to re pressurise so run a test to see if your needle moves and tops up and if it does it means these are top up valves.. if it doesn’t close out immediately as you may need to call out but hopefully these valves should be sufficient enough. How can one drain water when filled to much . I got the same E1.18. Error
@UtechUreview2 жыл бұрын
Hi Moti Angel, How to fix: You can do this by ‘bleeding’ your radiators. You’ll need to drain some water from the system. To bleed your radiator, you’ll need a radiator key or a tool that is able to comfortably and safely turn the valve on the top corner of your radiator. First locate the radiator valve and then very slowly twist the valve anti-clockwise. You should first hear air escaping before water starts to leak from the valve. Let out a small amount of water from each radiator - checking the pressure after each one. Continue to do so until your pressure gauge is back in the glorious green zone. Other probable causes for this malfunction are Malfunctioning boiler parts Defective components could include the boilers pressure release valve, diverter valve, or filling loop How to check (pressure release valve): The PRV is a simple device to release water when the boiler is over pressurised. It’s a copper pipe usually seen protruding on your outside wall behind the boiler. If this particular pipe is constantly dripping water - then your PRV should be indicative of some other systemic underlying issue, you should call an engineer to check or troubleshoot boiler. If you're getting no hot water from your boiler, this failing part could be the reason why. I hope this helps. Appreciate the feedback. Don’t forget to subscribe and share. Have a good weekend

What happens when it fills to 3?
@UtechUreview Жыл бұрын
Hi Sophia, To lower the water pressure on your boiler to the required tolerance levels. you can try one of the following methods: 1. Bleed the radiators: This involves opening the valves on your radiators to release any trapped air, which can help to reduce the pressure in the system. 2. Adjust the pressure relief valve: This valve is typically located on the boiler and can be adjusted to reduce the pressure in the system. 3. Drain some water from the system: You can use a hose to drain some water from the system, which will help to reduce the pressure. However, be sure to consult your boiler manual or gas engineer before attempting this method, as draining too much water can damage the system. Don’t forget to subscribe and share. Cheers.

@lourenzpervera24682 жыл бұрын
Hi, i’ve flicked my green switch on my model and it’s making no difference. Generally it works but today it’s not working - any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Lourenz, Might be some underlying systemic issue with your Boiler or system. Might be a leak somewhere in the system I.e radiator leak or a damaged pressure relief valve. You might try to sort out the radiator leak yourself or Call out an Engineer to investigate further. Hope this helps and you sort it out in the end.

@@alhagiashton8336 hi alhagiashton8336, Recurring low water pressure could be a sign of several issues in your plumbing system. Some common causes include: 1. Clogged Pipes: Over time, pipes can accumulate mineral deposits, debris, or rust, which can restrict water flow. 2. Leaky Pipes: Leaks in the plumbing can lead to a drop in water pressure. If water is escaping through leaks, it won’t reach your faucets with the same force. 3. Faulty Pressure Regulator: If your home has a pressure regulator and it is malfunctioning, it can cause low water pressure. 4. Municipal Supply Issues: Sometimes, the problem may originate from the water supply system itself, especially if there are maintenance works or issues in the area. 5. Blocked Aerators or Showerheads: Sediment can build up in aerators and showerheads, leading to reduced flow. 6. Main Shutoff Valve: If the main shutoff valve is not fully open, it can restrict water flow into your home. If you're experiencing low water pressure, it's advisable to check these potential issues or consult a plumber for a thorough inspection. Don’t forget to subscribe like and share. Helps channel grow. @ hi nursestephanie1224appreciate the feedback. what colour of valves have you got? If you have the Two black valves in same frontal position, repeat the process steps highlighted and should remedy the problem. Don’t forget to subscribe, like and share. Helps channel grow. My first blue pressure valve (the one left of the two), doesn’t rotate. What do I do?
@UtechUreview2 жыл бұрын
Hi Anass, If the blue handles can be removed (and I don`t know if they can), then remove and use a small adjustable spanner on the flats underneath. There are some valves which have a Stop, so they only rotate so far, have you tried turning the handle both ways? Try removing the plastic head and turning with an adjustable spanner. Do let me know how you get on. Otherwise, might be some underlying systemic issue with your Boiler. Might be a leak somewhere in the system or a damaged pressure relief valve. You might need to Call out an Engineer to investigate further. Hope you sort it out in the end. Don’t forget to subscribe and share. Helps channel grow
