This is by far the most utterly heartbreaking episode of this entire series. Don't argue with me.

GOOD UPLOAD... This is such a tragic episode indeed. It is impossible not to feel sadness for the families that were killed, especially the innocent Russian children and the overworked Sky Guide ATC controller.

Watching the lone controller not ask for help from the lady next to Him. His just deserts will be eaten in the next world. So tragic, then sad.
@URightBut Жыл бұрын
You weren’t listening. That lady was just an assistant, not an ATC. She was likely not trained in any capacity to ”help” with the situation. The Skydive company was to blame for their careless policies that expected ONE controller to attempt monitoring and responding to 2 screens at once...

This episode has been on YT for sometime already. Difficult to if not impossible to tell based on the title. This episode is based on two planes colliding in air, one having high achieving Russian students and the other a DHL cargo plane. The collision happened not because the warning system on each plane failed, the system worked properly. The Russians were improperly trained to give priority to the tower personnel instructions rather than the onboard system. The same type of warning system of each plane complimented each other by instructing one plane to dive and the other to rise.

Not only I feel for the families of the dead but attacking the Air controller and pilots doesn't solve anything. I never lost a child, but that is almost inconsolable as much as the Controller who knew he did what he could!

Solo controller working two screens, then maintenance comes in and cripples the entire system he has to work with. Had better guidelines been in place, they would have at least postponed the maintenance until two controllers were available, and not disabled both phone systems simultaneously. The holes in the Swiss cheese lined up from miles away. Human factors combined with equipment malfunctions - it would have been a wonder if there were no crash. And then no lessons would have been learned. Sadly, many of the aviation regulations have been written in blood.

You said towards the beginning of the video that the technicians told him the two-minute alert system will be disabled so technically didn't know.. just saying.

This must be the crash that I just watched in a movie starring Arnold S. Where as a father and husband of two of the victims tracks down the ATC and kills him. Does 11 years and then the ATC's son tries to kill Arnold. Yep all true based on this incident. All the father wanted was someone to say they were sorry. He would not kill the ATC if he just said he was sorry.

Controller wasn’t responsible. Sky guide mostly was.

If the crontroller wasn’t preoccupied because his idiot co worker decided to take a break he couldn’t respond to the pilots who were telling them about the TCAS alerts. The fact that the controller was managing more than 1 airspace led to this incident.
