Great video man, this was a lot of fun to watch. I have seen a good amount of walkman repairs lately and am really debating grabbing one off ebay or something and getting some old cassets for cheap to use. It really like the vibe that these give off lol. Keep up the phenomenal work man.

The biggest tip i would give is stay away from ones that have battery leakage mate, lots of people threw their Walkman up rhe attic years ago but left the batteries in them, the boards get battered by the battery acid to the point where you have paid decent money for something fit for the garbage

Great fix as with models like this with a battery holder some people might forget it has 4 batterys and leave the bottom ones in ,i have many sanyo,s and sony walkmans and some toshiba,s .The sanyo,s were cheap not long ago but have risen in price a bit now but every so often a cheap one turns up .

@FixitAde Yes, quite agree with your last comment Ade. If a pcb is just single sided, battery corrosion can be easily repaired. But if the board is double sided, track wise, battery corrosion is usualy unfixable. If the pcb has "multi layers", then completely forget any kind of repair. Corrosion is absorbed by the pcb material, and spreads. This could be caused by a leaky capacitor, not always a leaky battery. If in doubt, throw it out. Warmest Regards Wayne, Nina & Barbara.
