FYI: You can join the Crimson Fleet without the UC spying thing if you refuse Ikande. You can't do it if you meet him through the UC, only if after getting arrested, and only the once. Some Mark Rober lookin' dude will invite you to join on the main walkway in Cydonia. Only bringing it up since all the guides are wrong. Also! to board a ship if you're using mouse & keyboard you just press E and it brings up the docking/hailing menu. Whatever the select/target hotkey is for controller should do the same.
