Yeah tell me about it. There were a lot of moments. - Forgetting how to get to the Sunless City and exploring all of Ember Twin. - Finally going down the right passage to the High Energy Lab, then going back because she thinks the sandfall is a dead end, then finally learning she has to wait for the sand to raise. - Getting to the High Energy Lab for the first time, activating all the things, then closing the window and not seeing the black and white holes. - Getting to the High Energy Lab for the second time, activating all the things, leaving the window open, and then not shooting a scout at the black and white holes. I can only hope she remembers about the ash twin towers and finally figures out the black/white hole teleportation to get to the Sun Station, Black Hole Forge, and Ash Twin Project.

@ace4x3

I think it's "flavor" in that it is not necessary to do the experiment to get to the ending. If you think about it, going to the quantum moon is not really mandatory either. I saw it as more of a side quest which rewards u with a conversation with a living(?) Nomai. The only things you need to know to get to the eye are warp travel, how to get to the vessel, how to get past the angler fish, and the eye's coordinates.

As an addendum, this is exactly why this game is the perfect lets play game. There's so much thrill in discovery and rediscovery as you peel back the layers of the time loops and deepen your understanding of the lore and mechanics. Even if it means flying past the white hole station a dozen times.
@waffling0

Not only that, but the first time she was there she shot the scout in and closed the window lmao so overall she did every part but didn't do them at the same time. I should also add that the game puts the scout launcher in your hands when there's a reason to shoot it somewhere. For example game takes out the scout launcher whenever you're looking through windows that you can shoot your launcher with as well as high energy lab's experiment window.

The Outer Wilds brainrot is real, she is just like me fr fr 5:50 Fauna finally remembered how to go to the Sunless city! but no fuel and too late, but she is (re)learning. Fauna realized a lot faster than I expected how to go to the High energy lab, was a bit scared of her dying so close to the entry 19:40 Another of the most interesting pieces of lore in the game, love how excited she is while reading it 29:20 Im going to cry... how she missed completely the experiment?!? I guess another thing goes to the list of "Fauna will never see it" along White Hole Station 44:20 Forget it!!! She found it!! and she didn't even try it... man... 54:43 One of the most usefull shortcuts found, Its amazing how many people forget or just ignore it sseing how useful it is, lets see if Fauna remembers it in the next episodes Lets see if she explores fully instead of jumping between places to be free of the "There is more to explore here" notification in the next episodes

I love it when Fauna asks questions that get answered later in the game. She's asking all the right questions, she just needs to go to the right places to get the answers Also it's hilarious how many log entries and lore entries mention how important the white hole station is and that Fauna still has zero interest in investigating it
@Mirrormn
@Mirrormn Жыл бұрын
I'm confident that at *some* point she's going to think about the White Hole Station and realize "Even if I believe that door that I failed to enter wasn't actually a door, even if I believe the whole place is destroyed and useless, there must be *something* else to discover there" and go check it out. She knows how to get there, it's really quite easy, so it's only a matter of time. (/copium)

So we know how the Nomai got here, why they built the Probe Cannon, the warp towers, and that we're stuck in a time loop because of their warping and statue-memory technology, but I still can't quite piece together _how_ this all came together for us to be in our present situation. As always, I can only assume there's still a lot more to be explored. Another very fun episode! lots of good progress!

The Interloper comet, Sun Station, and all three modules of the Orbital Probe Cannon ties into that revelation. Fauna has not explored them all fully.

If you're curious why the protagonist, specifically, is in the loop (as well as Gabbro), that has already been explained within Statue Island.

I would suggest playing the game yourself to find out, genuinely once you know the answers the game is never the same again. Please, if this story at all interests you, go play the game first and then come back to this LP.

35:00 Yes, meditating does make it *seem* peacefull. But it only shows you closing your eyes and immidiate reload of a loop. But the hearthian is still there, still effected by it's surroundings. It's either the sun, lack of oxygen and yes, even the crushing of the sand. This was a little hard dilemma for me to solve when I realised that.

It’s honestly amazing seeing Past Fauna accurately figure out everything in regards to the plot Although it is extremely funny how she managed to completely skip everything related to teleportation I needed a guide to be able to duplicate the launcher in HEL, but not only did she do it in her first try, she was completely unaware of the fact

It's great, because she does need to go there. Maybe it will help her remember what she needs to do to get to the core of Giant's deep. Or maybe she'll indeed go to caves and learn how to get past the fish giving her a reason to go to Dark Bramble. I love how a lot of people who play the game are like "Oh, they're blind, then let's turn off the lights" to figure out a while later that they're blind and what you need is to not make noise. Fauna tends to connect things perfectly when they're put in front of her though so I expect her to immediately be like "Oh, they're blind, let's not make noise and let inertia take us".
