i'm gonna chalk that one up under "Brain occupied with entertainment" It's easy to notice some things when you are not playing or talking. Try it out with some friends of yours. Let them backseat you and see how much they notice what you didn't see. Give it time and her Brain will eventually make the connections.

You can blame her lack of attention to detail, but the game also really overwhelms you with the amount of stuff it throws at you at once if you decide to just go and run around. So I really can`t 100% put the blame on her even more considering she is might be trying to get thing going constantly on prerecorded unlike a stream where she can take her time to think about things.

Yes, this game does get very backseatish in general, but I would argue that chat is a lot more lax because it _is_ prerecorded - so they know they can't spoil anything for Fauna and can freely discuss things, and everyone else has been warned multiple times that they should play themselves first if they ever intend to.

Yeah, this game is so much better suited to lets plays without a chat to read. I've seen too many streams of it where the streamer comes across a mild roadblock and either just doesn't bother trying to think about it and asks chat what to do, or people in the chat straight up spoil the game without being asked because they can't handle watching a brand new player ponder information for longer than 5 seconds. The game hits the sweet spot when you really think and experiment, and when you start to make connections that turn out to be correct it feels amazing.

Fauna's attention span works in mysterious ways, with the way she notices details at long range and then completely overlooks others up-close. It makes for a fun dynamic I never knew you could just leave the gravity cannon running like that, too. Makes sense, but gotta remember to not point it at the sun

​@@sistani3313 Well, even though it's a great game, I feel like the gravity canons are not good designed. (Spoiler ahead) When they give you the information that Solanum landed his shuttle on the Quantum Moon with the help of the gravity canon, they don't give you any hint that he did so by just planning his trajectory and the moon's position extremly carefully and it's not possible nor intended for you to do the same. Well, I guess it's theoretically possible for the player because the shuttle has a front window to photograph the moon before going through the clouds, but that would require the player to do lots and lots of testing and it's not the intended way to land on the quantum moon. But it doesn't tell you... it looks like the shuttle is pushed out of the gravitational field of brittle hollow with the help of the gravity cannon and will thenfollow the same preplanned route, that Solanum took, to the quantum moon with Nomai technology (aka game logic). And even worse is the brittle hollow gravity cannon in the rumor mode of the ship log... right now it tells Fauna "there is more to explore here"... but there isn't, she has the two facts about the gravity cannon and that's it. That has confused me soo much in my playthrough. The note "there is more to explore here" on the gravity cannon goes away when you enter the tower of quantum knowledge after it fell through the black hole, but there are only two facts about the gravity cannon before and after discovering the tower of quantum knowledge and the two things are not really connected. I assume it's a bug and not intended, but it's very confusing either way and it's even worse if it is intentional by the devs...

​​​@@Blex_040Spoilers below! It IS possible to land the Nomai shuttle on the quantum moon - there's a video on KZbin of someone doing it - but it's definitely not intended. It's sort of the equivalent of getting on Sun Station by flying there, but arguably even more difficult. My issue with the gravity cannons is they don't make sense lorewise. The Nomai were clearly more advanced than the Hearthians are - they're able to build stuff like the Black Home Forge, Warp Cores or the Ash Twin project - but as far as we can their method for travelling through space is just launching engineless ships from a massive canon. It doesn't feel right, considering the Vessel exists, and the Escape Pods seem more advanced than the shuttles. I'd be happier if there was some bit of lore that implied all the people capable of building spaceships were on Escape Pod 3, leaving behind only people who know how to build warp tech or something like that.

Isn’t High Speed Impact basically the same thing as Fall damage?

No. Fall damage is just from gravity, often only applied vertically. High speed impact is from a force, usually other than gravity (often man-made), & can be from any direction. There is a distinction, but it can have some overlap. Also, gravity can pull your ship into a death spiral, & we don't count that as fall damage. Whether you crash too hard or are pulled into the sun, etc.

Keep in mind I'm blind for this playthrough, but here's what I've pieced together so far: the Nomai came to this star system following a signal from the Eye, something older than the known universe. However, their Vessel was attacked by the Bramble, which trapped the Vessel and one escape pod in itself. Two escape pods escaped, landing on Brittle Hollow and Ash Twins respectively. A lot of time passed, the two groups eventually reunited, and the descendants of the Vessel crew began devising a way to continue their ancestors search, and began looking for a way to create a new warp core (which I presume is what allows them to travel deep space), which led to the Ash Twin Project - a way to make a new warp core using the sun. It came at the risk of destroying the sun though. It seems like something went wrong though (some of the writing at the Orbital Probe Cannon mentioned its use being delayed for some reason), and considering it seems the Nomai are all dead, it seems the might not have ever gotten their warp core. That said there's a lot of unanswered stuff still, and a lot of stuff we probably haven't even seen yet, so this could all change pretty quickly. I've really enjoying this playthrough though! Been having a blast trying to piece this all together with Fauna!

Congratulations to Fauna for becoming the first Hearthian (and Nomai?) to propel themselves in a Gravity Cannon... I never thought to do it myself! I physically felt the claustrophobia when the sand enveloped and suffocated Fauna in cave... The plot is certainly starting to thicken as she discovers more and more of the Nomai's lore... just what is the Eye? Can't wait to see what captures Fauna's attention next time!

I love how the web of this mystery gets bigger but I feel like I'm starting to grasp why the loop is happening now; there's quite a few red flags with the sun station, the new warp core they attempted to make, and the orbital probe cannon. I think the loop is happening because the best they could do was cause this time loop so someone, anyone, in the future could learn what went wrong and fix it before the supernova occurs.

You're on the right track, but it's not quite it. The key information why the loop is happening lies on Giants Deep. One on an island where Fauna read that there is a workshop inside the island... only to then then go somewhere else (classic Fauna) and the other one somewhere deeper

I just started the video and I just want to say that the first fail of this video already made me laugh so hard.😂 Actually, it was a really good video : lot of things happened here, especially when all the pieces of the puzzle start to connect together and Fauna's first steps in Ember Twin were pretty good.
