Can clogged and crackling noise in ear and happen because an upper untreated teeth infection spreading to the ear?
@Mamalades4 жыл бұрын
Been dealing with this since I was first born and I’m 17 now. I’ve had a total of 36 ear tube surgeries which has taken a toll on my eardrum and permanently scarred it. My eardrum can no longer open or close and I am left with severe hearing loss while still frequently getting ear infections. I am hopefully going into surgery to completely rebuild by ear canals, but the surgery is high risk high reward. If the surgeons fail and hit some nerves, I will be completely paralyzed in parts of my face, on top of my ear still having a chance not to perform correctly. But if all goes well, this problem that I have been faced with will go away completely. Please send prayers for me and hope that I come out of this unharmed. Thank you for all that have read this. Update: Hey, thanks to every single one of y’all who wished for my success and sent prayers my way. The surgery is done and I can hear way better than before. On top of that, I no longer have much pain or drainage anymore. It was a success and I’m thankful for everybody that left a positive comment and of course the amazing surgeons who made all this possible.

Couple of tips: DONT use cotton swabs as a plunger, they aren't made to clean deeply in your ear, only outside-ish and even then its not really recommended. Always dry your ears softly with a clean towel if you get them wet. Avoid using those ear phones that go deep into your ear.

I have the same problem for years, only had tubes when I was a child (26 now) and got them fall out when playing with my ears. While growing up now and then I experienced pain / hear loss because of fluids on the inside or outside part of my ear. I have learned that heat helps the clogging to 'smoothen', you can try to steam your clogged ear and valsalva maneuver now and then during the steaming. Note, this is after you had the infection or cold. If you see blood or feel pain I don't know if this helps. Fill a bowl with hot water (steaming, boiled) Put a towel over your head Look out to not burn your ear by avoiding contact with the water Just keep your head above the bowl for as long as possible Valsalva maneuver Put your head back above the bowl for as long as possible Valsalva maneuver Repeat until you are done with this, you might have to repeat this several days

Many surgeons who do these procedures all these times just recommend you to come back and try again no matter how many times it fails. There are better options out there than repeatedly failing systems. If surgeries aren’t working for you, go to different types of doctors and get opinions. After a long self assessment I found that my slouching and sudden lack of exercise or stretching for most of my childhood caused my muscles to not be fully utilized. I realized that this scrunching of muscles and tendons due to lack of use is what many people mistake for problems that need solutions aside from good consistent proper exercise. My lack of exercise caused every tendon, muscle and sinew to be too weak for me to properly use my body. My tightened sinuses, eustachian tubes and lungs were caused by the muscles and tendons that support them becoming weaker. So now that I’m getting help from these atypical types of doctors I’m getting much better solutions than all the doctors who had me addressing my symptoms instead of my real problems.

abyss104 well, I finally visited an ENT, that was an adventure! The doctor did flawless work, but the dizzy spells kicked my butt! He used a device which blew air and water in my ear. I could hear the suction of the wax being removed from ear. Everything was good, then slowly the room started spinning. It wasn't bad at first, then it felt like if I got up, I would hit the floor! When he was done my right ear, he did the same with the left ear. Once again the same feeling! My mom said I should've told him I was having dizzy spells. Granted, I should've, but I just wanted to lay there peacefully. Then I started to become nauseated, it was a mess! But I can hear my neighbor fart two blocks down....lol.
@abyss1047 жыл бұрын
Ok, if you can hear well now after that procedure, then maybe it was a wax. My ear was blocked due to a very terrible respiration infection. I think I actually had pneumonia. Chest and throat was congestion. After a month, I started to feel better, but I notice my was still blocked. Right ear. Lost hearing in that ear and everything. I went to an Urgent care doctor and they saw that my right ear was impacted with wax. They irrigated the right ear with hydrogen peroxide and they also blew water in my ear too. It relieved some of the pressure my ear was still blocked. I had never felt so miserable in my life. 8 long week. Now that my ears are better, I want to take supplements that help with my ears so I can keep them healthy. Omega 3's is good for inflammation and prevents the excess of the ear wax. I am happy you feel better.

I was diagnosed with ETD the other week. My symptoms started early Aug. I feel vibrating mainly in my right ear. When it started, it only happened occasionally and got better, but it got worse a few weeks later, so i went to see a doc, she prescribed generic flonase, some nasal saline spray, and sudafed. Flonase isn't helping, so I'm back to using my drugstore bought nasal saline spray. Gonna try sudafed tomorrow. My vibrating is worse at night (because everything is so quiet), no pain, but sometimes i get dizzy/headaches. I could pop my ears easily, but this vibration noise keeps me up at night, so plugging my ears with ear plugs helps a bit so i could at least get some sleep 😢 I pray every night. May everyone experiencing any ear problems be healed 🙏

@Kainkrup thanks for asking. I'm still the same, constant drumming feeling, sometimes ringing. I went to see an ENT earlier this year, and he diagnosed me with something called Middle ear Myoclonus. He says there's no clear cause of it but he suspects it's stress, I could do sugery but it won't stop it completely, just make it fainter. I had an MRI but they didn't see anything of concern, so now I'm just dealing with it on my own 😔. I've learned to ignore it, some days I don't even notice it's there until I go to bed so that's good at least 🫠

something that sort of worked for me. get an empty plastic bottle, like lucozade or pepsi. Put boiling water in it maybe a 1/4 way full. put over your ear so that the top of bottle goes to the ear hole. gently squeeze so that the steam goes into the ear. repeatedly do this, and refill with hotter water if necessary. be careful not to spill on yourself, and also not to get boiling water in your ears. helped me out, after suffering with congestion in ears for over 3 weeks. hope it helps you guys out.

I think one of the worst things about this is the blame i put on myself. This has been the worst thing I've gone through bc it makes me feel like i can't hear myself or others properly, I can't concentrate, it makes me feel off balance so I look clumsy, school is already hard on its own and this makes it a bit more difficult. I pray I qualify for this surgery.. nothing works and I feel like I'm failing myself.

Yes that is exactly what the doctor had said my issue was as well, I went back three times asking if they could do anything and I was told all you can do is wait, he mentioned the only way they would actually drain it is if it was causing pain and could cause a burst ear drum. But with no pain and just loss of hearing out of of one ear waiting is all I could do, as mentioned above it starting getting better around 3 months in and gradually became less plugged each day, after about 4 1/2 months total all was gone, just a bad distant memory now, wish ya the best! @@TheKillingPerfection

I have a cold as well as an ear infection. It is a terrible experience. My ears hurt so bad (luckily it ended). They are blocked/muffled, I can barely hear anything, and the order of which ear is blocked changed daily. There is an intense ass ringing. There is so much pressure inside It feels like they're gonna burst, but they don't. It took 30 minutes of my eardrum popping like a firecracker and a whole lot of pain alongside it, like needles in my ear each time it popped, for some of the pressure to leave. Then my left ear bled, but i went to the doctor and she said it was because I improperly used a Q-Tip, and perforated my ear. One ear is blocked/muffled with pressure and ringing in it, but the other one is clear. My doctor prescribed me a $100 nasal spray (luckily she gave me a sample for free), a pack of pills (which are I think for the ears, to remove the fluid and make the tube open) that I have to consume for 10 days, but I also needed eardrops that I forgot to get. I'm still currently experiencing this and yes, this is my first time. NOTE: if you had diarrhea (my doctor asked me), that means you probably have the swine flu and would have to see your doctor IMMEDIATELY. I will also update if and when the meds work.

I fear the worst. Started with an itchy throat. Developed into a sore throat and runny nose with cough. Ear started itching a few hours before I went to bed. Now I'm awake and I fear I have an ear infection. My right ear is throbbing and yawning hurts. I can't go back to sleep. The pain right now is a 6-7/10. This sucks. - At 1:22 AM April 3th Edit (1:29 AM, April 4th): The pain is ramping up. It's like an 8 now. My God. I just burped just a bit and the pain magnified so hard. I'm gonna get advil. Swallowing it ALSO HURTS. 1:40 AM - It has literally GOTTEN WORSE. It is like an 8.25 now, and I keep hearing scratches or whatever. Touching the right side of my face hurts. This really, really sucks. I have school in a few hours too. 1:50 AM: OK. The pain has decreased down to a 6-7, maybe the advil worked pretty fast? However, I can't hear well from my right ear anymore, great! Also, I have to suppress my cough, and blowing my nose becomes a nuisance, although it surprisingly doesn't hurt that much. -2:05 AM. Ibuprofen delivers. Pain is now at a 1 to 2. Very good. Gonna try to get some sleep, but ill try to wake up early to assess if I need to go to the doctors. -6:00 AMish. Woke up a few minutes ago, I felt the previous advil wasn't working much anymore so I went and got another one. Pain right now is a solid 4-5. I slept actually pretty good cause of the previous advil. I tried to not sleep on my right side, which I usually do, but that ended up being futile.

For those who can hear muffled out of an ear definitely pinch your nose shut, inhale hard, release your nose & then open your mouth wide. Repeat that about 4x & it should help your ear to start hearing a bit better. This ringing is so annoying 😩 been going on for 3 days straight now. Dr prescribed me Zyrtec - d. I have not tried it just yet as they do say the ringing can possibly go away on its own in about 1 month. So going to try to heal naturally before I try the medicine. Have faith everyone. Here's my progress experience: I had a cold which led to ear infection, which led to a perforated eardrum. I went to see GP to get antibiotics to deal with bacteria as I started to discharge liquid, including slightly bloody (which is why they wanted to see me). The discharge stopped but for 10 days I couldn't hear anything from the affected ear. I tried yawning, chewing, jaw exercises, antihistamines, nothing helped. I waited a week from the time I last saw to see the GP again. At that time, the feeling of fullness or clog in the ear made me feel depressed. But I think it's bc it kept giving me a pressure in the face. So I went back to gp on day 8 or so to ask about why I haven't been able to hear, and when should I expect to hear again. He looked at my ear and gave me antibiotics again but in both spray and pill format. He said it'll take about 6 weeks. But in those 6 weeks it shouldn't get any worse. He gave me antibiotics again (and double) only because I told him i was still using the max dose of paracetamol each day to help with pain. If the pain had stopped he probably wouldn't have given them to me. (Beware! Got antibiotics rash side effect on the coochie and stained teeth). 3 days after seeing gp, I had a really runny nose and needed to blow. Well I shouldn't have done that as it felt like the current status of my ear got worse. 😭 On about Day 12 of reduced hearing: The last 2 days have felt really weird and slightly painful in its own way, BUT I started to get my hearing back. I could hear/feel heartbeat on my ear though which I think meant stuff inside is inflamed. Really annoying to listen to. Also every time I eat, drink, or swallow saliva, I get several of those annoying crackle/popping. It gets painful after a while. You don't realise how much you swallow saliva until this. Sounds like old school wired earbuds where the aux cable struggles and crackles in your ear when you're fiddling with it and can even hurt. So I was at worst 95% hearing loss at the start, now I'm at maybe 85%, but with further annoyances. I suppose if I only get 10% hearing back a week, that's fine.... Still have minor tinnutis. Updated: Day 15, my hearing is back about 60% now! I still get annoying crackling everytime swallow or yawn, really annoying. Can still hear heartbeat, and minor tinnitus. But I can hear quite a bit now. With progress I expect to be 100% hearing in another week.

My ear hasn't popped for more than a year. The ENT Specialists couldn't find anything wrong in my ear. The Sinus scans and all the other tests show that it's perfect. My last ENT Specialist told me that I've got to live with it. Has anyone experienced this?

A lot of people are facing hearing problems like Tinnitus lately. It has been found that Covid19 can affect your hearing and cause issues like hearing loss and Tinnitus. Even those who had asymptomatic covid can also have these issues. I've recovered from severe covid 19 three months back and then suddenly developed tinnitus after a month. It's been 2 months now, things are definitely better than the time it started, I'm just hoping that this goes away as soon as possible.

what kinds of noises do you hear? is it in just one ear?

I might have gotten hearing loss/tinnitus from this new variant of covid. Omnicron or something.

@@braydenbledsoe3252 Mine got very severe and led to brain demyelination wherein I developed numbness in left body, hearing loss, vision difficulties and some more issues, I needed hospitalisation for 9 days (including 2 days in ICU), however 95% people are luckier than me. If it's just tinnitus for u and no other symptoms, get Vitamin D, Vitamin B12 tests done and take vitamin supplements as indicated by the reports, having proper levels of D and B12 will help you recover sooner. Same with me!! Had a bad bout of Covid then all of a sudden the Tinnitus started and muffled hearing in my right ear. Anxiety inducing indeed! The off balance thing is also super annoying. Glad to hear I’m not alone. Ears can take forever to heal!!

I bought an ear scope camera a few years ago because i used to have tons of intense ear infections when i was a kid. The final ear infection i ever had around age 12 was so bad i woke up screaming and something inside my ear felt like it exploded, a tiny bit of blood flew out of my ear and hit the wall thats how violent it was. Anyways it took a few years for the deafness to lessen tho it never fully went away. I knew there was fluid trapped because when i lean forward far enough to shift the fluid my full hearing would return for that moment.Things healed up and now i’m 28.. i took a look with the scope and one ear looks normal but the one that exploded looks red like 1:24. To this day, i have a 50/50 chance every time i blow a badly blocked nose that my left ear will pop and leave me incredibly dizzy for a half hour

@carsonyt8012 жыл бұрын
my problem with this ear popping thing is that when I think about it the pressure in my ear starts to build up and I have no choice to pop my ear because of the pressure and a bit of hearing lose and the only way to stop this is to not think about but it is not that easy and is really annoying.

@@alpro5944 have u ever had this before with your ears clogging when you get sick? Wow u definitely got hit with a lot the flu then came back worse then sinuses and is that when your ears clogged up? Your eustachian tubes are probably clogged from the sinuses they are most likely inflamed did the dr say you have any fluid behind your ears at all? So no ear infections right just the flu and sinuses? Have the flu and your sinuses gone away now or no?
