I do not know, why I am crying. This is ultimate rendenition in the best Symphony Hall in the world. This Requiem performance is dedicated to dying Europe. To its lost values, to its lost joy of Life, to its tradition and power. Faure Requiem its so true, so vivid, so amazing and honest music. In a way it is lamentation and pray to God, who left and forgot Europe in sadness and misery. Thank you Avro for this amazing musical experience.

I don’t believe anyone’s ever heard all of the settings of the Agnus Dei ever written….it happens to be _your_ favorite, that’s all. Why impose such an impossible and very personal belief on everybody for the whole of music history (the “quite possibly” description notwithstanding)??

@@voraciousreader3341 You're quite correct. It's only my opinion. Music is totally subjective, and one person's noise may be the next person's choir of angels. That said, I'm not sure why my opinion triggered you so, especially as I qualified it by saying "quite possibly", as you pointed out.

@@tarquin113 that's some bs😂😂 also I looked up a performance done in Paris to check on your "french" pronunciation of Latin...... they pronounce everything correctly and differently than in the video above. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bomYkJ1ta5unmsU

Wonderful performance, however... the Libera Me wants more legato (cf. the choir!). Tatzl bounces up and down too much to my liking.

Kudos, pity, I had the honour, with my beloved one singing in the choir, to attend an unforgettable performance at Tel Aviv ... Kudos to Ronny and Esther ;-) This is not even near to the musical experience I had ... Mossad?! ... This is cultural heritage of humanity ... Please ? I'm absolutely sure there is a recording ... otherwise You'd be absolute beginners ;-) Thanks a lot for posting it :-)) P.S.: What makes this requiem special is the lack of "Zorn Gottes". Please, my jewish friends, you might please forgive me, but having studied the old scripts for long ... is that something you are able to think of ? ... Is there more than "I'ld do you tenfold than that you did to any of my relatives" ... ?! P.P.S.: Death is a gift. With right timing ;) P.P.P.S.: And yes, this is a stunning recording :-)
