So just from these events, and reading other posts, the theory right now is Faust is literally fighting with his inner demon right now (Old Persona : Doctor Baldman a Seriel killer) and in some of these clips it says he went back 'too far' and also the girl says 'the way you walk is weird' he replies 'Original style' which just further proves the theory that he just looks like this because hes more focused on saving lives then how he looks so hes not taking care of himself..maybe im not sure, otherwise thank you for playing the arcade for this info!

The credit song huts diffrent when you concider what brought him here. A failed operation on a girl that was concidered nearly impossible. Yes, it got sabotaged but he still partially blames himself even though he knows the answer he can't quite get over it

After watching Another Story, Faust's interactions have a slightly different ring to them. Firstly, his interactions with Ram seem a bit kinder than in Another Story as if she's aware that he's struggling. As she says herself she knows "he's hurting", so she gives him grace in terms of how much leeway she gives him for unliscensing doctoring. As for what exactly is going on with him. I think, like someone else said, part of his soul left him and now he's sort of walking around with the barebones of what's left. This would explain his fixation on saving people as well as his struggle to put together full sentences. His struggle to move would also be a result of him overtaxing his body. However, one interesting detail is that when he dies (in the arcade mode) , the soul that leaves his body is different than the one that left him in the story mode. I'm pretty sure this is just an asset thing but, if it isn't it might be the other part of his soul trying to reunite with it's missing piece. Another side note as well, his idle animation of looking up at the sky could could also be a hint to his two halfs trying to reconnect somehow, or rather his body searching for what he's missing. All and all, the reason why he's like this in Strive was awnsered but his current state is still a mystery.

Another thing here is: before his campaign and during the happy chaos raid on the whithouse, the sister of bedman wants to teleport to avenge her brother. But because ahe runs the risk of destroying the entire town she's in when she is going to teleport, ramlethal absorbs a lot of her energy while faust cuts out a giant door to warp the destructive mass away. The size of door is far beyond his comfort zone wich leads to him becoming as exhausted physically and mentally as he is in strive. During that mission he says that he has to "go back to square one" haven't quite figured it out yet, but i think this means he wants to be the respected doctor he once was. Wich i think shows us that he will keep on going with this behaviour if he doesnt give in to his baldhead side inbetween games.

People keep talking about how this Faust seems depressed and sad but to me, he just looks like he's on very low energy. He took a really hard hit and now he's just kinda limping and struggling to speak. Aside from that, he's still kind and caring, motivated to do good. The old Faust already had a questionable sense of self-preservation, with a lot of bottled trauma. Strive Faust isn't as funny as old Faust, but aside from that, it's really the same guy. The same guy but with a concussion.

I think its because he is starting to revert to his bad self and is still trying to fight it which is why he looks so unwell there's also the fact that bieng 10 feet tall would cause strain on your body so those facts might have cause him to look like that

this is my theory. Faust felt guilty for the girl he killed, even though it wasn't his fault. and he decided to use the procedure of raising the dead, well He didn't want to use it on a patient, because He didn't know if it would work or not and what the consequences will be. so He decided to use the operation on himself. This is why he looks like a walking zombie

Faust theory: his soul is in the plushie except for a some other part of Faust that’s in his main body, Faust’s plushie seems to have a playful attitude like old Faust and then the new Faust is something like a jojo stand where it’s Faust will power, or maybe it’s a side effect of resurrecting someone (I think he did) or maybe he resurrected after he tried (and succeeded) to commit French Revolution on him self and the MAIN personality is in the Faust plushie
