My faux snug piercing is one of my favorite of my twenty two piercings.

Thank you for sharing and watching. I really like the way you can adjust the piercing to fit the person's anatomy. In some ways they look better than snugs.

It is a good option if your anatomy doesn't work for a Rook.

Speaking with my piercer as I got my flat done today, I have come to the conclusion that I probably can't have my industrial done. I have experienced migration and rejection in the past and thus I am now avoiding placements that are prone to these complications. He suggested that not only do I only have the anatomy to get it on the opposite ear to the one I had envisioned, that it is possible that in time it could reject. I don't want take the risk. My inner conch has done well and this video has confirmed to me that the next time I go to my piercer I will ask if I a faux snug would work with the anatomy with my ear. I haven't been pierced in two years and it feels so good to be able to step into the studio again! Take care and keep up the good work, Win :)

I got a snug but I had a lot of issues with it. I had to take it out and got a faux snug instead. Looks the same but healed way better.

Thank you for sharing. I've increasingly been suggesting faux snugs when clients ask for a snug. That is unless they have the prefect anatomy.

Great option and this works really well is getting travel pillow stick your ear in the donut hole of that pillow works well I have two pairs two pillows that I use for both sides of my ears so yeah, but I have an actual snug and it’s healthy to happy doing well and I’ll make sure not to sleep on it Or like I said, get what’s called a like a donut hole, pillow, travel pillow sleep on that it works well😊

Hey DaVo, was wondering if you could do a video on good online retailers and bad retailers concerning body jewelry. Perhaps what makes one site trustworthy and another not. Retailers throw around the 316L term and that's about it and sell jewelry for $10-20 lol. If you could offer clarity on this then thx!

Yeah I second this. I was once browsing for jewelry and it said "anodized titanium" when I went to the specifics, it said "titanium stainless steel". What????

Is a faux rook and a flat piercing the same thing? If not, what are the differences?
@BodyPiercingTattooing4 жыл бұрын
Yes it is done much like a flat but the angle and placement are different.

Hi I just got my faux snug and I’m having a hard time cleaning the back of them do you have any suggestions on the vest way to clean this piercing?
@BodyPiercingTattooing4 жыл бұрын
There is no reason to go crazy with cleaning off the discharge. If you are using sterile saline spray like neilmed piercing aftercare spray that comes out in a mist, just spray the area and let it melt away the discharge. If you are using wound wash just apply it to a gauze sponge or clean paper towel and apply it to the area for 5-10. Rinse the area or wipe clean.

@@BodyPiercingTattooing Thank you, I have now gotten a bump on my conch and I was suggested to use a Dettol solution. Do you think that will possibly help and if so how would I go about diluting and using it?
@BodyPiercingTattooing4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure why they would suggest an antiseptic to solve a problem that isn't an infection. It's impossible to say what is going on without seeing the piercing first hand. Usually bumps are a reaction to trauma or abuse. Isolate the piercing and give it time. If it doesn't improve see your piercer.

Can you have a hoop in the faux snug like in a normal snug?
@BodyPiercingTattooing3 жыл бұрын
I guess it would be possible but it really depends on the angle. In theory you could do an orbit.

Does immune deficiency disease affect a piercing
@BodyPiercingTattooing4 жыл бұрын
It can limit the body's ability to fight off infection and can prolong healing.
@BendyDivine004 жыл бұрын
Kat Chartrand I have a genetic disease with many secondary diseases including Mast Cell Activation disorder and as a piercer I always treat my client out from that. Immune deficiency disease can cause healing to be longer, as Davo said, up to 3-5 times longer. You can also be more susceptible to ”normal” pathologens due to your body sending White blood cells and activation of your immune system. Questions I would Ask are: Are you on a specific treatment? Immune injections or infusions? Have you had chemo or radiation resently?, etc. Being an ex nurse I would be able to advise you on pre-piercing care, piercing care, and after care. It is extra important to keep up with after care. If you have any questions please contact me.

@@BendyDivine00 thank you for sharing your knowledge on the subject. This is why I always advise my clients with medical conditions that impact healing, bleeding and/or their immune system to ask a medical professional. I'm not one and I do not have access to medical history. Many times clients do not fully understand their condition or the how severe it is and how it may impact the piercing and healing. As someone that was raised with family members that had medical conditions that effected their quality of life and limited a number of activities that many take for granted, I want my clients to enjoy piercings. I want them to have the fullest life possible but I also want to them to be be healthy. With these types of conditions it's often a balancing act between quality of life and fulfilling experiences and being safe and healthy. Involving your doctor is often the only way to achieve that. Thanks again for your comment.

There are these clips that pull the two bows together in the back. You might be able to avoid the pressures.
