My outline for my book saved my life! I felt so stuck with where to take my book and felt like I just wasn't loving it as much as I used to, but then I looked at my outline for the first time in a while and I finally came unstuck and it helped my (seemingly perpetual) writer's block!! I wrote more last night than I have in the past 2 months

I’d love to see more writing updates in your vlogs! They make me want to get up and write! Thank you for being real with your audience about just having a sucky day. It can be a guilt trip when you know there’s no reason to be unhappy and you still are. Like you said, you just have to work through it. I’m having a real bad day too. We had to put my dog down yesterday and my whole family is devastated. Your reminder that the storm will pass gas really encouraged me ❤️

Sometime its good to give yourself a rest day or a break from creativity because it is surprisingly draining. I found myself exhausted late last year. So i decided to take a month- long break over December. The rest was exactly what i need. I ended up figuring out the problem with my novel/why i was stuck. It just hit me and i became so motivated.

What I do for plotting is I write a little summary of what I want to happen in each chapter. Plot charts also really really help and isn't to constricting

Gosh, this is just the type of content I came here for 👏 I will never be tired of saying how much I looove your new style. 💕 STUNNING 💕 I am working on my second draft rn and here's an advice I have to share: I have 2 plot lines which are present and past time. And i wrote the draft in a chronological order, then placed it how i want it to be. That helps to keep track on how my character changes through time (from 13 to 24 yo). I really like how I can see the differences and similarities in the voice of mc over the years 🤗

I've been working on my book (series of 7) since 3 1/2 years ago. I've never completed a draft, but books 1 and 4 suddenly expanded... I'm glad I've let everything grow rather than setting a worse version in stone.

Omg i loved that book so much. I just finished the the ask and answer and if you think the first one left on a cliffhanger, than just wait for the ending of the second one.... it gets REAL CRAZY. Hope that's not considered a spoiler. sorry if it is just encouraging you to read the second book it's worth it.

I'm currently reading 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami. I picked this book up two weeks ago in a book fair that was held here close to where I live. I decided to get it because I saw your review and reading vlog on KAFKA ON THE SHORE so I thought maybe a Haruki Murakami book would be nice. The book is a mammoth (over 1300 pages long), though. I'm reading Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson! I really am liking the pace of this book. Somehow, Sanderson always manages to suck me in early on, and I don't realize the time/pages passing by. Like, his novels are pretty large...but ugh, I cannot get enough of his books!
