I live in the 5th floor of an apartment building. In the living and bedrooms I have a bank of 3 windows. The windows on either side are operable, but the middle window is fixed so I can't tilt it inward to clean it. I have been using a Swiffer with microfiber cloths to reach over and clean the middle windows for years. Works great. My walls have a slight texture to them. I clean them with a Swiffer and microfiber cloths also, but I wedge two damp kitchen sponges between the microfiber cloth and the Swiffer to make it more padded and less rigid. This way it gets into the small nooks and crannies of my plaster walls. Works well on my baseboards too.👍

If you come across the scrubbing bubbles toilet cleaner kit they are worth the purchase. They are very similar to clorox but have a heavy duty end (like clorox) and a light cleaning end. They dont break apart like the clorox ones do. There is also a scotch brite version of these now that has a wrap around side to get under the lip of the bowl.

I think you had a video talking about using different colored microfiber cloths for different areas of the house. Like one color for kitchen, another for bathroom etc. Can you share more about that or which video you talked about that on. Thanks!
@RachPlusFive2 жыл бұрын
I would have to go digging for the video but it’s easy… My pack from Amazon had 3 colors and I purchased a separate different color so I had four. White was for kitchen, dining, living room, and general surface cleaning. Blue is for glass. Green was extra stuff like walls, floor spills, etc. Yellow are for my bathrooms, showers, and toilets (I no longer use them on the toilets). I like to do this so I know exactly where each one has been and I don’t use one that been on a toilet on my kitchen counter. They come clean in the wash but the thought still doesn’t sit well with me. Hope this helps.
@monicavalk21182 жыл бұрын
@@RachPlusFive Thanks that helps. I use disinfecting wipes and paper towels for the toilet because it grosses me out reusing anything after. Good idea, one for kitchen/dining room, one for glass, and one for bathroom. Do you use the kitchen one for dusting and stainless steel too? Have you found a brand on amazon you love? I agree with most of these with only a few exceptions. But I might change your life with one suggestion: the handheld rechargeable powered scrubber. Kind of like the scrubbers you put at the end of those heavy drills except the whole thing fits in your hand. It comes with the scrubber attachment, the magic eraser one, the heavy scrubber, the brush, and a soft sponge one. So easy to scrub things because this does ALL the work for you. I got it on Amazon after I saw some car detailing guys using it.
