After watching your essay, you make me really want to watch Jin Roh. The only anime I've exposed myself to is Berserk, Cowboy Bebop, One Piece, and Lupin III, so if I get around to it, we'll see if I Like it. Good job, Ian

Your right fam, I should have checked this out sooner. I forgot how well you script your thoughts. Also, yes, this thought is something I have been trying to articulate about the 80's 90's anime. I was at a BBQ that got rained out for Canada Day, a few younger buddies, like mid-20s, were inside watching some new chronchy roll anime. I thought shit anime was something I used to enjoy. I sat down and watched the first episode with the guys. It was like pulling teeth, but they were all in on it. I wasn't going to shit all over there fun, but it was so cringe.

We’ve all been in situations like that, honestly, when it comes to anime, I prefer stuff that’s more self-contained and not so clearly manufactured for mass thousand plus episode syndication, quality over quantity and all that.
