Awesome breakdown! The SOG PowerAccess really stands out for its smooth operation and pocket-friendly design. I completely get the appeal of a tool that’s fidget-worthy-it’s not just about the functionality but the overall experience. Your comparison with the Leatherman Bond and Skeletal was super helpful; it gives a clear perspective on where the PowerAccess shines. This kind of versatility at such a budget-friendly price makes it a solid choice for everyday carry. Great video!

Happy New Year Mr. Kincaid. This channel is the most dangerous and best multitool channel in America. You convince people to spend money and get in trouble on a subconscious level. You mean very well though. God bless you and your family sir.

I'm a custodian at a community college. My daily carry is the power access and the white handled Ozark Trail folder. These two tools have come in handy so many times. The SOG power access is a great every day multitool.

Have you heard of anyone modifying the blade or adding their own higher quality? I know there isn’t much room, but yeah, the blade is not that useful. I would rather have a blade similar to the Powerpint.
@blade92923 күн бұрын
I prefer the deluxe 😊 it's the same tool with more tools my only complaint against the tool is the lack of scissors but add a dakoyu scissors and you have a nice complement.

That’s interesting. I like the power pint pliers, but the internal cools are hard to access and aren’t very good (except the file and precision flat head). This looks like the tools are easier to deploy…

I agree with your assessment of this tool. It’s unfairly maligned in the tool review world. I think it’s misunderstood. I have a skeletool and a bond and would argue that in spite of its inferior build quality it as a far more useful tool load out and it is super pocketable. I actually find the knife blade to be just fine, it’s skinniness is no bother as the cutting edge is just fine. I’m not going to be using it to cut cheese but for opening boxes and unrefined cutting tasks it is great. If there is any upside to “bad” steel is that it can be brought back to sticky sharp with just a couple of passes on a stone or strop. I prefer it to my powerpint - it’s far more appropriately sized to do useful things in the real world. The pliers are probably the best in class. “Favorite” is the best way to describe it. It is my favorite SOG and one of my favorite edc multitools. In fairness my other favorite is the old poweraccess so what do I know. They are both just charming when you spend time with them. Thank you for the wonderful video.

I lost a Power Access and replaced it with a Power Pint. The Pint is an awesome little tool that I carry every day at work. I do love my SOG products, but I have an honest observation to make. The "gear drive" is non-functional, by my figuring. Use some basic geometry and picture the gear placement. It doesn't seem like they would intermesh. The leverage seems to be from the double plier joint. Any opinions?

I got a black one off Amazon on sale and there's rust in the pivots, could barely open anything because they're so stiff. All the angles dig into the hand during use and all the tools (especially the file) have a sharp outward facing corner that serve no purpose other than to poke and scratch your hand. Would not recommend.

Now for the hard questions. Is it worth it to spend another $15-30 on the deluxe to get the saw, serrated blade, and 1/4 inch socket tool?
@hvacbudget86003 күн бұрын
@@Baggytrousers27 I don't think so. I like either the Sog PowerAccess or the Large PowerAccessAssist. The Deluxe is to heavy for it's thin tools and to small for heavy duty use.

@hvacbudget8600 Fair enough. Had a wonderful dream the other day about one of the chinese companies selling a cross between the swisstech 30 in 1 double plier and the sheffield plier/side cutter tool, so you had a compound action fencing plier/side cutter multitool that could flip open like a sog or a free series.
