In Mexican Spanish martirio can mean both martyrdom or inner turmoil. My understanding of the meaning of the song is that if you choose to live as a “martyr” and only focus on yourself, then you are wasting your life. There is a video somewhere on a TWA channel that has the English translation. 👍😎

Martirio means to suffer (as a verb) or suffering (as a noun) depending on the specific line in the song. Although, in one of the lines it literally refers to someone being a martir. (figuratively)

Some translations weren’t done correctly by Google. For instance, it said “prende”, but it was “aprende” which has total different meaning. Your Spanish is quite advanced to be honest, don’t trust the translations and try to listen the voices, it’d make more sense to guess in that way hehe.
