Yes, Pau controls the in-ear click tracks, backing tracks, and cues the songs using foot pedals. During "Disciple," if they want to do an extended break for Dany to interact with the audience, Pau pauses the track with her pedals and resumes it when they’re ready to start again. In a video of their performance of this song at Pol'And'Rock, you can see Pau deciding on the fly to pause the track for Dany’s interaction-she just gives Ale a look to communicate this, and Ale, with just a look, lets Dany know. You can even see Pau resume the track with the foot pedal. I wouldn’t recommend reacting to the Pol'And'Rock video, though. The owners of that festival video are strict about blocking reactions to it.

This track is a really good showcase for just how much *each* of the sisters contributes to the overall sound. They weave everything together so well, and produce a truly staggering and full wall of sound for just three instruments. (Well, six instruments, if you count the fact that all three sing :) ). Yep, Pau runs the show from that laptop. She uses Ableton, and controls it with midi pedals.

"Disciple" is all about social media and how people get manipulated by disinformation without even realizing it. [Dany, the guitarist, sings from the perspective of those spreading hate and ignorance for power and money.] She talks about how people avoid facing their own flaws and welcome the chaos that’s created. Then [Pau, the drummer, plays the "disciple"], representing those falling for it, blindly following what they’re told. The chorus is cool because Dany sings about fighting the system, trying to wake people up, but Pau's part reinforces staying trapped in ignorance-like a tug-of-war between rebellion and control. By the end, the "disciple" is totally brainwashed, swimming in hate, and still following the system. It’s a warning that if people don’t wake up, they’ll stay stuck in this loop of ignorance.

Pau's laptop is running software that controls the click/metronome, as well as the stems, or backing tracks, used to fill in those parts that can't be duplicated in a live show. It's controlled by additional pedals in Pau's drum setup. It's connected to the main soundboard for the PA, as well as the in-ear monitors for all 3 of them. I always recommend reviewing the live versions last, as they're always the peak of performance art IMHO

The army in the music video is a ‘real’ one. The Warning Army, fans who answered the call for battle! Among the rank and file is The Warning’s mom! Look for the eyes! In the Pepsi Center performance Dany is playing the mustard yellow guitar that Matt Bellamy of Muse gifted to her. You really need to see Dust to Dust, Narcisista, 23, Black Holes and Breathe to see if Pau is that good. LOL. With Dust to Dust Dany ‘passes’ the stage to Pau. She takes a bow and points at Pau before Pau sings. No egos as the sisters always have each other’s back. Love the double reaction with the MV and the live. All their music videos are good, and you get to see different things in their performances. The music video for Disciple was shot in a blast furnace museum. The members of "the army" there were members of TWA, The Warning Army. Now in regard to which songs from the concert have music videos ... ... ... Choke has a music. In the live performance of Choke Ale has a couple of solo vocal lines, that she doesn't sing in the MV. Enter Sandman is a cover of the Metallica song. But. This might be one you want to do a three version reaction to. The Warning first covered it in 2014, when they were 14,12, and 9. It is both a really good cover of Enter Sandman, and adorable. The second time they covered it was for Metalica's Blacklist album. This was a charity album released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Metalica's Black album. Metallica had asked artists to do covers of the songs with the directions that they could do what they wanted with the songs, as long as they didn't change the lyrics. Alessia Cara was asked to do a cover, but as she is a pop artist she wasn't sure how to approach it. Her international management team also works with The Warning, and suggested she collaborate with them. This was run past Metallica, who approved it. So there is an Official Music Video for The Warning, with Alessia Cara, doing Enter Sandman. Then there is their live performance of this, without Alessia Cara, at the Pepsi concert. Error features singing in binary code. The video is interesting. S!CK is a cool fun video. MORE is a fun video with lots of easter eggs for fans, that people will probably explain to you in the comments after you watch it. Ale has a short vocal solo in the live version that she doesn't sing in the MV. The music video for Money is the studio version of the song matched up to footage from when The Warning opened up for the Foo Fighters in Mexico. Animosity is an animated video featuring I'm The Grim Reaper which is a webcomic on Webtoons. The Warning are fans of I'm The Grim Reaper. They also appear in animated form in the video. XXI Century Blood is the first MV The Warning ever did. It is like a mini movie, and won several awards. It is the title track from their first album, and over seven years old. Martirio is just gorgeous. Looking forward to going through this concert with you.

@@Abigirl_Reacts Yes. XXI Century Blood was the only MV from their first album of the same name. They didn't do any MV for their second album Queen of the Murder Scene, which is a concept album about a woman who falls in love, with someone who may not know she exists, becomes obsessed, descends into madness, commits murder, and suicide, ... Pau was going through her EMO phase. There is a concert where they do the album in its entirety that you may want to check out at some point. Choke, Error, and Martirio are from their third album Error, as were Evolve, and Disciple, which you have already done. MORE, and S!CK are from their fourth album Keep Me Fed. One other note. If you are doing the songs from the full concert video there are separate time stamps for Dust to Dust and Dull Knives in the description. They play these two together with a bridge between the two that is seamless, so these should be listened to as one performance. Oh, you may want to have some tissues handy during Black Holes and Breathe. The Warning has stunning range. Enjoy the concert.

Pauline also used to write most of the songs on the piano, then work on them with her sisters. Now that they have joined a big record label, their songs are written by a committee of writers - which also includes the band, but I feel was aimed at protecting the record company's investment.

As a 56 year old working drummer and multi-instrumenalist myself, I will say, I haven't heard a band this good in 30 years. The word authentic is what I use to describe DPA (Dany, Pau and Ale), but make no mistake, the Warning is Pau's band and baby. She's the primary songwriter, both the music and lyrics. Of course Dany and Ale contribute massively as all three are consumate professionals now. Someone else commented on Pau's laptop. Fun fact: The Disciple bass line was written by Pau on piano and transposed by Ale who said it was difficult at first because it was a piano riff with different fingering🤯 Welcome to TWA you have been WARNED! ⚠️🤟⚡️🤘

Yes, Pau runs the click-track & stems & can pause & resume for extended sections of audience participation etc. It can run the video screen & lights etc also but nowadays (especially for these full production shows) they have people for that stuff. They did fiddle with running Dany’s pedal-board thru the laptop as well Dany prefers the control & the programming/mechanics of it was too cumbersome.

That makes sense actually, thanks for the info!

There really is something about Pau. I figured I'd be more team Dany because I also play guitar. But Pau is different. Dany is incredible and probably my favorite outside of performing. (She's super comical) And as far as voices, Pau's is very warm, smooth and almost has a smokiness to it (For lack of a better term) Dany's is very cutting which is perfect for a lead vocal. She can really soar with her belts. (It makes the ending of their song Martirio so powerful IMO.) Ale sits somewhere in the middle. At times Ale sounds like Pau (her lower register) and other times she sounds similar to Dany. Ale just doesn't like to sing so she often sounds shy or hesitant. But, she can sing great as well. Pau singing through that drum fill always moves me. All that while recovering from the flu. They're hardcore. Pau once played until she had to be carried off stage due to a heat stroke.

@Abigirl_Reacts One thing great about it was both venues were small, like 850, and inexpensive tickets. But I would like to experience the big production concept like the Pepsi Center Concert in Mexico City. That was a very special concert it was their 10th Anniversary Concert. Instead of doing one song at a time my I suggest a Live Stream watch party. ⚠️ ⚡🤘

Several people have made suggestions about Pau is running Ableton on that laptop and so on, and maybe they know something I don't, but I would expect -- possibly as well -- that she's running midi triggers on her drums. If you listen to the snare in particular, every hit sounds the same. Any time a drum is hit, amost regardless of how hard, that triggers the playing of the sample of the desired sound at the desired intensity, that helps to make the drums sound more consistent in the mix. A better explanation of triggers from El Estepario, here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hn-pnHmGhdp0gLM Explanation starts at 1:23

*Disciple* *Disciple* is one of their songs about social media and how it affects people in ways they don't even know... Dany (guitar) sings the part of the "leader"... Pau (drums) sings the part of a "follower", "disciple", or maybe "soldier"... basically they're speaking about how people take what they see on social media and believe it, whatever it is... in this way, certain groups out there control the narrative and what is happening... i believe this is a cynical song telling people to think for themselves and not believe everything they see or hear... the OMV for *Disciple* was shot during the pandemic, all the extras in the video are IRL The Warning Army members... the wearing of the various masks works for the video as well as acknowledging the pandemic being a thing at the time of recording the video... there is the dichotomy of the masks, themselves... the "disciples/soldiers" wearing just cloth mouth and nose masks while the higher ranked overseers are wearing full face filter masks... and then we have DPA/TW playing the upper echelon, the untouchables, with no masks at all... this ranked depiction of status makes a huge statement about social media in addition to what is already being said in the song... *XXI Century Blood* , *Z* , and *Kool-Aid Kids* are three other original DPA/TW songs that also speak about social media... the 1st one, XXICB, has an OMV that tells a story... it and the director were nominated for (and won?) several awards when it was released in 2017 when Dany was 17, Pau was 15, and Ale was 12 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

I wouldn’t doubt that Pau is also writing a new song and taking selfies, while performing. She’s an insanely good multitasker. Dany’s voice is always too tier and Ale’s bass just drives the song down the road. Pro tip: The band put numbers on the concert video thumbnails, so you can figure the order out easily. They also released the full concert for those times when you want to watch the whole show, without the dead spaces between the songs (there’s. a small bit of extra content / crowd interaction), as well. That’ll come in handy for helping with the inevitable addiction. 🤣

Loved your reactions to TW so far. Thank you. Subscribed. BTW, every song in this concert either has an OMV or an official lyric video on their KZbin channel. If you want to use the Official Lyric Video for the songs without an OMV, that would work too. You get to hear the song as they recorded it, just like with the OMVs. With the bonus of seeing the lyrics on screen, of course. 😄 I can't wait for you to check out some of their documentaries and earlier performances (such as their two stops at the TEDx Talk in Nevada). Remember, these sisters started young... and they still are very young.

Always OK to pause for the kiddos. They're more important. For me, their live performances are usually more impressive, so I would vote for MV or lyric video first, then live. Paulina and Daniela trade leads in this song. Ale's voice is hard to recognize because she rarely sings lead, only when Dany or Pau needs a break. But if you listen closely you can often pick out her harmonies. Check out this Gear Masters episode to understand what Pau does with the laptop, among other things. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnrSXmh-qcdssKM

Problem is when you have to many request possibilities, you might want to choose between Buy Me a Coffee or Patreon (there are more options as well). But with The Warning...... you can not go wrong. Some of the songs of TW has MVs so do double takes... Note that every song from TW has meaningful lyrics, . In this song Dany starts with saying to her disciples to be that the sun is the enemy today and in the second verse Pau answers as a good disciple in making that, yes as of today the sun is here enemy. A hit to social media and dangerous cults. Also you can find numerous vlogs where the ladies talks about their songs

Stable volume keeps videos at a fairly constant level from one video to another as most videos vary in how loud or quiet they are depending on who or what it was recorded with. It allows you to not have to adjust the volume all the time.

Paulina has a brain for every part of her body. And every part works independently. I saw her at at concert when she took care of her computer, and at the same time she spoke with her father and fixed her drum set and checked hon her sisters. She is something not of this world.

It runs in the family. When they started their school concert (Liceo de Monterrey) Dany's mic was mispositioned so while a roadie guy was trying to adjust it Dany was singing into a moving mic, playing guitar, and trying to guide the guy with head motions until her dad finally came over at got it squared away.
