OOF this video is a MOOD. As a seasonally-inspired nail polish addict, i concur that the weird confusing transition between winter and spring is the absolute hardest to define. Right now I'm going with an OPI polish called Butterfly Me To The Moon which is icy blue with pink shimmer and blue foil-y glitters. Very fitting since Frozen is in theaters.

Hi Kelli, thanks for this different subject for a video! It feels like such a long time between nail polish seasonal releases... months and months where I'm tired of wearing only "winter" shades. Honestly, this would be a great series to do for ALL of the "in between" seasons -- like spring into summer, summer into fall, fall into winter. We get four distinct seasons here in Illinois, and I love wearing seasonally appropriate shades!

Then when I go into searing brights and neons for summer, it's a huge contrast and I'm sooo ready for them!

What a great swatch collection! When you first started talking about the "transition" idea, I was like, "um...not so sure." But when you started showing them and explaining them, especially your references to the sky, I got it. It made sense, and it totally looked like that time between January-March (which, for a high school teacher like me, is TORTURE) where the sky is the only pretty thing to look like. Great video!

I really like alter ego. I own 2 cirque colors. They were the first non-drugstore regular (non-gel) polishes that I bought, and they blew me away! Probably just because they are 100% holo, which is something I've never seen in the drugstore. I've gone holo and I can never go back!

I was thinking about transition colors in my polish hoard. I don't have very many honestly, but one that really stood out is Starrily's Clockwork Roses. I don't usually use mint green polish but the pink undertone to it makes it so interesting. In fact, it was your swatch and review that caused me to buy it--it's a really different but very nice polish for spring, summer, and between winter and spring.

I've been on a "trying indie brands" kick since I went wild on Black Friday. I haven't tried Superchic yet but between Starrily, Cirque, and Picture Polish, Cirque is definitely my favorite- even though your Starrily collab gives me life. Hygge!! Omg. It's my perfect winter shade!! I love light blue in the winter. Deja Vu is super pretty too. I love Paloma and Acid wash too. Paloma looks just like mint chocolate chip ice cream which is the best flavor, and acid wash totally looks like the acid wash jeans we were in the 80s. 😂 Very Valentino is really pretty and I'd probably be most likely to buy that because I love animals!!

Hey! This is a great question and so tricky to answer since we all have different body chemistry. (For example - my mom only gets 2 days of wear from OPI and I get 10, even though we use the same application and products!) it’s hard for me to do wear tests just because of the differences everyone has, but also because I repaint my nails every couple of days for videos so I rarely wear a polish for more than 3 days lol.

That is so cool that you are "The Hand of Cirque Polish" demos! These are nice colors, but it hasn't even been winter for one full month yet. There are more than two months of winter left. As a Californian (who could, potentially, experience spring in February when the almonds and peaches bloom) I understand why you folks in the north-eastern US get kind of antsy waiting for spring.

You need to do an ice cream nail art design! The Paloma can be mint chocolate chip, and you had one in a previous video that you said looked like strawberry ice cream! And then you need a classic vanilla or chocolate color :)

Hey Kelli, when you paint your nails a color and then a glitter topper on top, do you put a glossy top coat on top?

Yes I do! Even though glitters are technically "toppers", the final coat of top coat always smooths out the manicure and helps it last longer!
