New subscriber. I really like seeing how you shop the sales and stockpile. I'm single so my journey looks different but I've always stocked up on non food items. I hate going to Walmart for 1 item. What a wonderful memories and traditions! 2 New Year's ago, my husband and I went to NYC and saw Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster in the Music Man. I loved it! Looking forward to going back someday! I love musicals!

I don’t think I could pick a favorite musical but one was the last😊 few weeks of Miss Saigon Lea Salonga came back to close the show I was mesmerized

My favorite thing I did in 2024 was I completed 20 embroidery projects! I'm so glad to have done this. My project bin was out of control. I even found a item that was halfway done and I forgot about.

Thank you so much for the book recommendations! I have been interested in your comments about butter, best times to buy it, prices not as low as usual, etc. I just read an article yesterday about how the Europeans are in a panic over the price of butter there - especially the French bakers who are having to use some margarine - gasp! - in their croissants to stay afloat financially. After all, the definition of croissant IS butter! So you are not alone in noticing this. Across the 27-member states of the European Union, the price of butter rose 19% on average from October 2023 to October 2024. That included a rise of 49% in Slovakia, and 40% in Germany and the Czech Republic, and 50% in Poland according to EU figures with reports indicating the cost has continued to rise.

Interesting! And margarine in croissants?!?! No! I did a bit of digging and the December USDA report is predicting a 4% increase in dairy prices in 2025. We shall see how that plays out, but they are saying cheese prices could drop. We shall have to see what they means for butter. For now, we keep watching for sales, and see what happens to butter when Easter rolls around!

I saw Wicked on Christmas Eve and I absolutely loved it! It was a Christmas gift from one of my girlfriends and I was grinning the whole time. I got to see it twice on Broadway 20 years ago at Christmas and the next summer and I got to see it with Idina Menzel before she left in January 2005. Unfortunately, Kristin Chenoweth had already left. But I got to see her later on Broadway in The Apple Tree. Anyway, yeah, I was blown away actually by the cast of the movie. I’m definitely a team Elphaba gal, though!

By chance was your former minivan a KIA Sedona? We had a 2006 model and it started to become finicky about seven years later at 60,000 miles. There were times when I couldn’t start my vehicle. The dealership couldn’t figure out what was wrong and the manufacturer wouldn’t honor anything. I had found in my research that there was a problem with this model; however, we just decided to get a new vehicle. We had outgrown the minivan stage anyway. Btw I just got the Panera club offer that you mentioned. I’m deciding if I’m going to take it. My daughter (26) saw Wicked and loved it too

No, it was a Chrystler Town and Country. I had random times when it wouldn't start either. No rhyme or reason! So incredibly frustrating. So Glad your daughter enjoyed Wicked too. It was such an incredible show / movie! We're singing the songs all the time in my house! 😊 And glad you got a good Panera sip club deal too!
