I've only seen you a couple times by random passerby videos, but after watching this video, I was shocked how much in Common I have with you. I grew up spoiled by my Grandma, I played the hell out of SB: flying dutchman, I spent more hours in the Chao garden in SA2 than the actual game, and Pikmin became my Favorite Nintendo Franchise after playing it for the first time as a kid at a Kmart Kiosk in 2002- and later got it that christmas. I would of argued we would be the same person if you listed Banjo-Kazooie as Number 1 lmao. Anyway, Excellent video, Subscribed.

My first Nostalgic game was Maplestory, it's sad to see how people disregard a game that tries to keep people interested in it. It's still being updated, and the soundtrack is as great as it was before, even better than it was, you might not have played it, but during 2006-2010 Maplestory was popular among schools.
@reaperofburgers7 жыл бұрын
Mook Meels I remember back in 07 when I was hard into Runescape my best friend was really getting into Maplestory and I totally brushed it off, but then around 2014 I started to play it, and damn if it isn't a decent game, it totally flips MMOs upside down by being 2D
@loommaster27027 жыл бұрын
Mook Meels we used to play Dwarf Fortress at school. you have no idea how easy it was to understand with the wiki but one alt tab away. with how many lunches we spent in the computer room, in year 9 a few of us did a succession fortress together. I am not joking, best memory of my entire secondary school life (not that there would be much competition)

2012 maplestory was another hellhole though in the game's life. What they did in there was absolute BULLSHET, and I think its safe to say they moved on from it. I think Maplestory should end because of not that many people playing it any more solely because of how boring it's gotten.

I too have struggled with depression. Back in my 8th year of school (about 10 years ago now) I got into 3 months of deep depression, and if I didn't have videogames I don't dare think about what might have happened. I had Ratchet & Clank 3/ Up Your Arsenal to help me endure, and I played it from start to finish over and over, finding every secret and collectible. This distraction from my despair, combined with the support from my family and friends, helped me get through it and become a balanced individual with a happy outlook on life. Happy to hear you made it through yours in one piece too :)

DK 64 for me is one of my fondest memories for me, what started as a passive hobby for my dad kickstarted my gaming addiction, being a mere five years old when my dad bought a 64 and DK I was hooked, I still have the original DK 64 and it's bundled Jungle Green system from when I was a child. Over the years I've beaten the game more times than you could count on two hands, then it came out on Wii U, to play it again always sets off my nostalgia. Even hearing Banana Fairy Island in the background at the beginning pretty much has me in a flashback. Hell I even have the entire soundtrack on my iPad, I love that soundtrack so very much. Thanks for the list Fawful.

And taking my personal favorites are the Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess/Wind Waker, Super Mario Sunshine and Pokemon Colosseum/XD: Gale of darkness. I played these five games a lot. Like, a lot a lot. You wanna know how much I played these games? Mini me played my GameCube TO DEATH! Seriously, I played it so much that the laser was just about dead by the time I was 9. But I kept playing it till I was 12. Why did I stop? Because my GameCube didn't turn on anymore after that. That's right; I fried my console playing these games so much! How many kids can say that? Rest In Piece GameCube. You were my childhood, and I love you dearly.

Here's my own Top 5 Nostalgic Games 5. Magic School Bus games (Looking at them now, they're very archaic. But as a kid obsessed with science, it was all good fun) 4. Donkey Kong 64 (In hindsight, this wasn't a well designed game. But I still love the idea of it and the MASSIVE world they've made. Diddy's jetback was also the best thing ever) 3. Pokemon Snap (So short, yet SO FUN as a kid! Why isn't there a sequel?!) 2. Sonic Heroes (Honestly, my nostalgia for this game is the only thing keeping it a favorite of mine ^^; But I do still think Sonic Heroes was a decent game that was fun when you got a handle on things and had a lot of great ideas. The game just needed some fine-tuning) 1. Banjo-Tooie (Everyone always looks to the original game as their favorite, but I've always preferred its sequel because it's pretty much the original game but BIGGER! Bigger levels, bigger enemies, bigger quest... It may have been too hard for my younger self but I had a blast playing it anyway)

The first KZbinr I got invested in reliving memories. Awesome. As for me, SA2 is my most nostalgic game since it was not only my first venture into Sonic, but all the multiplayer races me, my bro, & our friend did plus the fact that it's one of the games that made me a completionist are also reasons. Also losing 2 separate Chao Gardens to memory cards either crashing or misplaced. I still miss Bobby. He was my first Chao. Was gonna be the Karate Champ before memory corruption happened.

I'm so glad to see some of these games are also games that I cherish too. I chuckled when you mentioned Starfox Adventures, since that was a game I used to play a ton of when I was younger. I agree to 100% it's not a very good Starfox game, but it's a great Zelda clone, and I mean that in a good way! Great video as usual!

I remember watching my first video of yours. It was the top 15 kirby bosses. You're still as funny as ever.

Kirby Super Star Ultra & Kirby Mass Attack are so nostalgic for me, I remember just playing the sub games of Mass Attack in my basement, and I have nostalgia for Super Star Ultra because not only was it my first Kirby game, but it was my VERY first video game I have ever played, I loved playing through all of the game modes!

That first one made me flashback to my time with school games. If I ever forget "Wizards and Pigs", I'll have finally lost my memory completley...

I remember when my cousin let me play the PlayStation 2 for the first time. It's what led me to becoming addicted to games and I still don't regret it.

The minute I saw number 10 I had a frickin' eureka moment. I was like "So _that's_ the game that's been popping up in the back of my mind all these years!"

Diddy kong racing is my absolute #1 nostalgic game, as well as my favorite game of all time. No matter how good each game gets with its graphics in the times of today, i will always say that diddy kong racing is my favorite game ever, that i actually un-dusted my N64, slapped that game In the cartridge, and started playing it a year ago again. It'll never get old. You did good, rare. Real good.

Mario kart DS is my most nostalgic. 1v1ing my sister and dad was pretty awesome, and I always played bowser.

You know it's odd how I used to be able to walk around the courses of 3d platformers for hours without really accomplishing any of the game's main goals and still have a good time

My most nostalgic game has to be Kingdom hearts 2. I still remember desperate mornings before school where I would sit down and frantically mash the X button in an attempt to beat my latest tough boss. Smiling when I saw all the best classic Disney characters all fighting alongside me like I had always dreamt of. It was pure bliss when I finally beat the game 20 levels lower than I was supposed to be and with absolutely zero understanding of how the game was. I've played through it eight different times now and I've almost mastered every boss fight, learned every farming route, and even managed to beat the ultimate final boss at least three times. Kingdom hearts 2 made me want to be the hero of my own story just like Sora and his friends. They're the reason I work so hard to help others everyday.

My first nostalgic game was Pajama Sam, I played it when I was like 5 and found it from a steam sale around a decade later.

Tony Hawk Underground is my jam. Creating custom maps, making my own stories with the Goals Creation Mode, creating sweet ass decks, breaking the stage boundaries with the moon gravity cheat, and yelling at my screen saying "I DID A DIRECTIONAL TRICK, NOT A LEFTY! AHHHH!!! RESTART!". Good memories.

Hey, I know it's been a while since this video was uploaded, but I'm sharing my memory anyway because of how much it means to me. The first game to ever touch my life was Super Mario Sunshine. I was young, and I remember just replaying my favorite levels until either my dad or older sister came to help with a part I was having trouble on. I put the game down for a while, but came back more able, and I felt so good when I started to need the help of my dad and sister less and less. I eventually beat it, and my dad helped me get every last shine Sprite. Every time I turn that game on, and here Mario say "Super Mario Sunshine! Wahoo!" I get chills up my spine. I'm no longer blind to the games flaws, but it remains one of the most important experiences I've ever had, and it's solely responsible for my gaming passion. Thank you, Nintendo.

My most nostalgic game is Pokémon Pearl. Aside from it being one of the oldest games I remember, I also remember waking up to Christmas, receiving it and worrying because of it's DS label. It was also one of the 1st games I beat too, so it holds a special place in my heart.
