Ya its pretty fun how the first few hours Genshin, it seems to be just another fantasy adventure game set in a standard middle ages isekai land, with a simple lighthearted tale of firendship and beating a dragon. Then at the end of this prolog, one of the villans turns up smacks you down then gives a hint at a millennia old conspiracy and bliblical tale that upends a world that now suddenly has more lore than tolkien.

it is still an isekai story thou. The MC literary stuck in that world and been learning some secret regarding that world, just like any other isekai light novel out there that I've been reading.

@@arielcaem479 Yes and no? Without going to deep into current lore theories, I will just point out Lumine's (the sister) hair ornaments. These are called Inteyvat Flowers, and the main character (regardless of which one you choose) confirms they are flowers from their homeworld. And these flowers are also found on this continent, named Teyvat (Teyvat, and the flower is called In-Teyvat). So this 'other world' is not as 'other' as it originally appears.

Genshin's MC is more like they travelled into this world (since it was said that both twins used travel around in different worlds). No one died, no posession. So i don't think its isekai at all...

Originally, as long as MC is from another world (whether it is earth or not) and he/she is living in foreign world to him/her, it can be called isekai. (Isekai literary means "another world"). There's also a reverse isekai, basically, someone from the isekai world transported into a real world. Also, the MC from previous Isekai doesn't need to die. Im sure there are isekai anime out there where MC doesn't die in original world.

incase you didnt know, the first video is the game roadmap for Genshin's First part of the story (aka Teyvat Chapter), which was planned to be released for atleast 5 years (word around the street says it's a 10-15 year plan actually). We are currently at Chapter 5 Natlan, the 6th nation since it's release in september 2020!

Genshins story is really complicated theres the main story wich u learn through the main quests of the game and there is the world building / historical story wich u learn by exploring teyvat collecting books and items to read their descriptions and etc they r tied but the main story doesnt explore the world building of teyvat as much but in recent chapters and quests they are slowly lore dropping alot of it so the early main story is very slow but it gets heavier as u continue

We already knew her motivations, and unlike Scaramouce, she's spent roughly the last decade with free access to near-limitless resources and knowledge, and a _reason_ to seek them out, so her backstory doesn't give her actions a pass. The only things that animatic told us were that she once had a friend (which is irrelevant to her present character) and that she killed the previous Knave (which we already knew), and everything else was either told to us in her Story Quest or could've just been explained with a few in-game lines.

Saying "I get it, but I'm not going to tell you" makes it sound as though you _don't_ actually understand what you're talking about. Why should I take your word for it and believe that you're correct if you aren't willing to even prove it? Lastly, why not tell me what I've got wrong? If you *truly* understood her character, then there's really nothing stopping you from sharing it, especially not when you're in the comments of a video that's already *laden* with spoilers. I've also completed all of the Archon and Story Quests we currently have, so claiming "spoilers" is already pointless.

Yes, Genshin basically revolves around storytelling, so most of the main details of the story will be quite clear as soon as you play them, while there might be more subtle details you actually have to analyze tilo understand, usually serving as small sneak peeks for players for future lore or just some easter eggs.

There is one short manga outside of the game, but the rest of the lore is in-game, but you have to seek it out. It's in books and item descriptions and side quests and random scraps of paper that you can easily miss. It's a lot of reading, and it's so spread out and hidden around the world that imo, it's better to get the lore from KZbin channels that specialize in Genshin lore.

The initial trailer genshin dropped with 7 years in advance story line still remains top to me second to the fatui trailer, also yes they do like to use impact frames in some cutscenes that's true, because it's Genshin "Impact", get it? haHAAA Also on a real note, i really recommend you to rewatch them when you catch up with the story, given the possibility of you liking the game this might hype you up even more as you will know more about the lore, making you realize some pretty cool unnoticed elements in these trailers (Yes I'm aware that you don't know anything about the game lore and I don't have to answer your rhetorical questions from you reaction, i just can't help it😂) Not to spoil you anything I rly have no intention, but if you wanna somewhat know what you're getting into, specifically what is a turn-off in this game despite having a significantly intriguing story with people's subjective opinions of "ups and downs", there's one thing that most of us who play genshin deslike, but learnt to live with it, is it's Story-telling. You've seen the flying baby-looking girl with white hair and a halo over her head who follows MC right, that's our "Guide" in our travels as we go through the story and quests, she's basically always with us, always talks instead of you (You're an MC btw), and exaggeratedly said - let's just hope that you're not gonna wanna play Muted because you might not like her voice acting and overall her screen time, which btw totally would be understandable. Oh and it's nothing to do with the person who voices her, they're just doing their job just to be safe from ppl's misunderstandings. So yeah, i mean you will realize it yourself with time, but perhaps knowing this from the beginning might give you the mental preparation and easier acceptance to this sad and unfortunate fact, because some people will never even try the game for this reason alone, that's for sure one important thing they've burnt in their kitchen, BUT GUESS WHAT they're still a multi-billion company👍(Do not get me started on them quite recently releasing quality of life updates that should've been released from the start of the game) And despite me saying all this I still do play the game almost daily for 3 years now, but that comes with a cost of not playing any other games and having 0 friends, literally genshin is my only game without counting chess lol, I still don't understand what it is that made me check it out and not quit once, oh and it's not even because of the gacha aspect either, the gacha system is completely fair by the logic of "if you don't save your in-game earnings to get the limited character or weapon that you want" which is your own fault and not a single soul will feel bad for you😂. I mean my very random guess would be that they're using some kind of "hype them up so that they can keep our wallets juiced-up" strategy followed by the real "juice" who "upped" them up - Covid year. And so basically this keeps me glued and make me wait for every single new patch which quickly dies 3 days later --> and so the cycle begins, and even though I'm aware of it, I still just wait and look forward to seeing how the story goes, cuz it did leave a few emotional "Impacts" to me personally, Like Fontaine Story-line has a special place in my heart, which correlates to the fact that Genshin Impact lives rent-free in my mind almost daily (not because you're forced to pick up your dailies of course, of course not.)
