That way viewers can choose to watch anything they want, i think this is the best option in any case. The outline you see on the characters at the end is because they are under the effect of something called "Nightsoul's Blessing." This is an effect unique to all the characters in that region called Natlan so nobody other than them can use it unfortunately. There's another region though with a unique thing like Natlan. The other is Fontaine, basically the characters just before the ones that were glowing. Fontaine characters in their attacks, if you pay attention, has this sword that suddenly appears and then drops down the enemy. That is called an "Arkhe Attack". Fontaine characters are divided into two forms of Arkhe, "Ousia" and "Pneuma." When you attack an enemy or a mechanism with an Arkhe Attack of the opposite type, it will cause an Annihilation Effect and disable them.

Just to give a perspective on the matter - genshin can be a little dialogue heavy so if paying attention and reading all the scenes might be too hard to stay focused for, you shouldn’t do CN VA. However if you reckon focusing/reading won’t be a problem - both the JP and CN voice acting is so beautiful and worth checking out to see if you like it.

Just started the video, but on the "sub or dub" question, I definitely think the original chinese has a lot of the best voices, but the english voice actors are very good too. I personally play in chinese, a lot of the voices feel more real and have a gentler sound, english exaggerated some characterizations more. Chinese Paimon is the best and cutest paimon voice. Also the voices match the mouth flaps in Chinese.
