Imo the second season was better than the first. Although it has less emotion, it has more storyline and character development, with all the characters being unique

Honestly, I think these "grounded" episodes are the best. Like the final episode of Season 1, where it was just a squid game playground, two surviors and VIPs watching from behind the glass. The characters get to talk more personally, it becomes not only a battle between them but also between their wolrdviews. Same with this episode, because of the simple decorations, both games of Russian Roulette played in this episode felt so realistic and terrifying.

I think that when the detective dives, he is looking for the underwater entrance through which a group of soldiers come out with the organs extracted from the victims. And if I were him, I would suspect that the captain was just in the right place to rescue him, with so many islands to fish...
