Faxon Rd. Grade Crossing Tour Plano, IL 5/13/19

This is about as pure of a BN installation that you'll ever see in use in 2019.
This crossing is located on a spur coming off the BNSF Mendota Sub and leads to the Menards Distribution center to the northeast.

The fact that this has a mechanical Bell and single sided crossbucks is interesting, but to me, the really odd thing about this crossing is that the bell only rings when the gates lower. I'm not sure why it does that. But I guess that's also interesting for a BNSF crossing.
