Faye Wong - Chàngyóu (Quick Album Review)

Wow, a random recommandation of KZbin, but Faye is definitely my Goddess ! An anecdote : When I taught mandarin in a university in Québec, I asked my students if they’d heard of Faye Wong, a Chinese diva. Of course they all said no, but when I mentioned Eyes on Me, the theme song of the video game Final Fantasy VIII, some of them told me they knew this song and loved it, without knowing the singer though.

Eyes on Me is so interesting, as I feel like it was a lot of people's (especially people into gaming) first introduction to Chinese music and even culture in general. I always love hearing about things like video games or teachers helping people learn more about music. It really is beautiful how music itself transcends its own art form and impacts virtually every niche of the world in some manner. Thank you for sharing!
