You’ve got this, Faye! I’m usually a silent viewer, but I wanted to say that it’s totally normal to feel nervous before you start this new chapter. I am going through a similar change in my life, and it’s incredibly difficult not to have your main support system around you when starting a new chapter. Call your support system as often as you can, lean on the ones you love, and remind yourself that this will be an adjustment period ❤ you will come out of this stronger and more resilient than before, you got this!

This video brought me so much comfort. I just started my second year of medical school and I really struggled during my first year. Saying goodbye to my parents and friends a week ago was really emotional for me. Especially with the doubt and stress I feel about tackling another year. Change isn’t easy, but thank you for being so vulnerable!

Faye this video was so beautiful and full of raw emotions that felt so validating to me. I’m a 24 year old paeds nurse and absolutely love watching your videos. I feel you on so many levels … it’s so good for me to see I’m not alone in my emotions (I consider myself a very deep ‘feeler’ of emotions). We are all cheering you on … you’re doing amazing sweetie. Watching your vlogs feels like watching a friend ❤️ Love the quote from your mama, what a gem 🫶🏻

Your dad saying he is a "white van man" made me laugh way too hard 😂 he's so funny but both of you are hilarious together you two need a reality show 🤣 also I know I always say this but just when I think your vlogs can't get any better somehow they do! You are so so talented and I appreciate all your videos❤ I hope you are well and wish you the best

This is probably too late as you've already started f1 now, but Faye I had the biggest breakdown before starting f1 and i'll never forget it! I remember driving down crying the entire way feeling sooo depressed (I genuinly think the lowest I felt) , did not want to start work or be in the place i was going, but after a few weeks I felt sooooo much better and actually had the best f1 ever! You'll make friends in f1 that you'll be friends with for yeaaaars and years ! Honestly f1 is such a fun year. Also I still spend plenty of time at my family home haha, I think starting work sounds more 'adult' than it actually is !

As I'm not very familiarized with the UK system, do you guys go into residency as soon as you graduate? or you start working in rurals while doing electives and making a big CV to pass interviews? Y_Y I dont really get it
@lizzie4972
@lizzie4972 11 ай бұрын
residency isn't really a thing in the UK. when you graduate medical school at about 23, you go into your FY1 (foundation year 1) and subsequently FY2. in this time you are a fully qualified doctor who is paid but you still do rotations. You then apply for speciality training after, but you don't have to specialise immediately after FY2 :)
