In this video, I share a start to finish process, how to, DIY tutorial of using Dollar Tree Candy Cane ornaments and altering them into handmade, Farmhouse style ornaments for you home décor Christmas decorating, or as a gift or to sell at Christmas Bazaars, by using mixed media techniques and incorporating a shabby chic/steampunk/vintage/romantic feel of art... and may include papercrafting/scrapbooking/craft/sewing supplies.

Love this idea. If you clip the end to start the strip, you can pull it apart for that rustic look. It will pray as you pull apart. Crafty smooches.

I really enjoy the rustic Christmas look . These are super cute. I'd like to make some this year. Just need to get some fabric. It's best to get the fabric that has the print on both sides. Correct?

Hey Donna! Really you don’t need a homespun fabric...the fabric I used is just from Walmart and works great. Since you are wrapping it, you don’t see the backside, just the bolder normal side pops up in the wrap process. 😀

Hey Donna! I searched on DT online and didn’t see them there...our DT doesn’t have them in stock yet either....here is 2 numbers I found on the back of the package...first up is the UPC code: 639277579430. Then there is another number above the imported by info...164179 1906. I don’t know if any of these will help. I did do a search on amazon for ‘plastic candy canes for crafts’ and a few listings popped up that look just like this in size and color. Hope this helps! 😀
