Cloud and Aerith are genuinely my fav romance ever those word she said to cloud are so deep. The first time you see her say that she want to find him we don't have the context so we're lost like cloud. But after knowing cloud story and that he was pretending to be a soldier the whole times. Aerith knew since the beginning that cloud was acting like someone he's not without even knowing his past she just knew. " Cloud I'm searching for you" She don't want the soldier she want the real cloud she love him for who he truly is. Aerith bring out the best in cloud when he's with aerith you can see glimpse of the real cloud him being all awkward giggling with her and smiling Just like the real cloud in Crisis Core Cloud being his true self at the end of FF7 and want to meet aerith in the promised land both of them being lonely kids and outcasts in their childhood But having so much fun together in the present. The only time cloud genuinely ever laugh in og FF7 is when he's s walking in the rooftop with aerith. Their love story is so wholesome ❤

Sigh Aerith and Cloud are "The One" couple for this game. Just so beautiful how the story progresses with their focus on moving on from the past. Tragically cut short...In the compilation and spin off games, they continue to search for each other! Hope they find each other again in part 3 ❤

There's a reasonable chance of it happening yeah. All of the foreshadowing we have to go on indicates that Zack is going to cure Cloud for good and we'll see the best version of Cloud by the end of part 3. The real Cloud that Zack knows and the Cloud that Aerith has been searching for. Maybe when Cloud loses his mind he's going to wake up in the world where Aerith is alive and she'll let Cloud know what else he has to do. Something along those lines. The complete and fully cured Cloud later brings Aerith back. I don't know the details or the exact flow of events they're going for but that's my general take on what could happen.

@@jesse1381 Haha Jesse, we meet again! I think that is a very good theory. I don't think they will go for an all-out good ending. Nomura wants it bitter sweet. But Kitase wants Aerith resolution... So I think what we'll have is a choice linked to those seven seconds. Perhaps Cloud will have to pick a world for good?

That Aerith date is so similar to the Rebirth one (and lovely as ever), but the Tifa date is very different. I love the Tifa one here and in the OG... It feels right in terms of timing and development. The kiss was too rushed for me and should have happened at the Highwind.

In my opinion the kiss was thrown in there mainly to placate Tifa fans. Rebirth was heavy on Clerith so they had to do something that Cloti would like to keep them happy. Cloti was happy with the Gongaga moment in the room as well as the kiss on the date and a couple scenes in Nibelheim. While Clerith was happy with a lot of stuff. The theme song, the Kalm date, the beach talk, the talk on Mt. Corel, all the Cosmo Canyon stuff, the water tower talks, the dream date, the ending, the lack of Zerith, the Masamune block, Cloud x Aerith fighting Sephiroth together. Not an all encompassing list but even as a more neutral observer it's hard to deny that Clerith wasn't favored in Rebirth. While Remake I felt was still a little more balanced between both girls and was more choice dependent.

I could see Sephiroth, Angeal and Genesis coming there for recreation. Genesis would drag the others there because he wants to check out the Loveless play. Then he gets mad because the play isn’t accurate enough to the source material so he, Angeal and Sephiroth end up having to put on Loveless. Genesis would demand to play the hero but the director wouldn’t be able to resist making Sephiroth the hero, which would make Genesis mad.

Aerith states that she knows Cloud is not Zack. Aerith brings the real Cloud out whenever she is with him, whether it be his laughter, shy little smiles or care for the planet. Aerith even wants to know more about Cloud's childhood in Nibelheim. Why would that interest her if she was just looking to find out more about Zack? What aren't you getting?

But Tifa and Cloud weren’t friends as children. They barely spoke to each other and then didn’t see each other for years. Tifa even admits that she didn’t really know Cloud well and that they didn’t interact much as kids. The difference between Aerith and Tifa’s relationships with Cloud is also evident in their interactions in Rebirth. Aerith and Cloud have only known each other for a short time (setting aside the fact that Aerith has notable knowledge about Cloud compared to the OG), yet in Rebirth they already share subtle inside jokes that only the two of them understand. In such a short time, they’ve built a dynamic where they can have conversations that no one else in their group understands, just the two of them. Meanwhile, Cloud and Tifa have known each other for years, but they lack that kind of connection. Being aware of someone’s existence for years doesn’t mean you truly know them. Aerith sees Cloud for who he is and falls for him, as she herself states in various ways multiple times. Cloud may not be great with words, but his actions speak for themselves, showing that he sees her too and has feelings for her as well.

Cloud and Tifa remain my favorite romance in video games. They were the childhood couple who fell in love, but couldn't come forward about it through tragic events of Mt. Nibel and through the interventions of others, but the connection that they had and were kept from never faded. They reunite by chance only to be taken away once more. And when they do reunite, it's almost like they don't miss a beat, but have so much to catch up on since the days of their younger selves. Everything Cloud ever did, he did for Tifa. And Tifa, likewise, always held out for Cloud. After the tragedy of Nibelheim, they're literally all they have left. I'm thrilled that subsequent Final Fantasy supplemental expanded on this idea even further. They feel natural. They feel right. The love between them, the mutual love, is so palpable, that you could reach out and hold it in your hands. Of course they have their flaws, but it's overcoming their flaws and issues that make the romance all the better. Neither flaws were done towards the other out of spite or jealousy or anything like that. It was an effort to do right by the other. Tifa had to gain the courage to show Cloud a love that transcended words. Cloud had to realize that he was always enough for Tifa. It's my sincerest hope that Part 3 of the trilogy sticks the landing with these two.

I hope you get what you are looking for from part 3, as I also hope there is something for everyone. It's nice to see you have such strong feelings for the pair, just as us Cleriths do. Sadly, it feels like the genuine Clotis have had an influx of hornyboys since the graphics improved, but I love seeing people that get it, as you obviously do.

Yes, Tifa's an undoubtedly attractive character, but, anyone stopping skin-deep is missing out on the depth and nuances of her character that made her one of my all-time favorites. The strength of her drive, overcoming her uncertanties, holding the weight of the party on her shoulders, holding on to all she has left after losing so much (and continues to lose), navigating what to say and when to say it, and showing her physical and emotional strength in the hardest of times is what made me fall in love with the character. Tifa, Aerith, Yuffie, Barret, Cloud, none of these characters are black and white and have nuanced layers to them. It's what makes then enjoyable and what makes us wanna root for them and want the best things for them. The bad fans on both sides will crop up, unfortunately, and often yell into an echo chamber. But, there's the good ones too, and I'm happy to meet one of the good ones on the Clerith side. :) ...And trust me, as technology evolves? Rule 34 is hitting EVERYONE hard. x.x;

@@MetaGrave I agree entirely! She's a great character with many hidden depths. I used to ship Cloti, so know there are bad eggs on both sides. I've always seen both as valid viewpoints. It's also why I get a bit funny about people who just find her hot. Like you, I like the nuances. I would argue that poor Tifa does get hit harder than most on the Rule 34... Just ask the Italians!
