Really interested in seeing how Derek looks - this is their first peak together, it’s a learning process he’s at a massive disadvantage. They’re trying a new technique. We all moan about Derek losing fullness and leg fullness especially, they’re not pushing as hard as with hani, he looks behind because of this tactic. Let’s see how it plays out.

I mean people are hating on Derek, say what you want about not having detail in his arms but at least they are actually muscle. I cannot understand the people hyping up these oil monsters as if they should be rewarded for it. It's bodybuilding, not oil pinning. Nothing impressive about having arms and delts full of oil.

Derek always had those lines in his delts leading up to the show. Then he turns up with zero detail every single time. The guy is just so unimpressive from the side and he has no detail from the front. Yeah, his back is good. So what? I don't understand what the hype is honestly. He's so unlike able and fake too. He's about as exciting as plain toast.

@mattoniy2840 Yeah, if there is a change and he comes in striated all over. lines in his chest and delts I'll eat my words. Hani said he needs time to marinate the muscle 😂 How long will it take? He's been competing since 2015. I don't buy the excuse of "new muscle either". He's just growing muscle that was already there. It's not like new muscle grows on top of the muscle that's already there 🤣 Maybe it's genetic. He genetically has straited glutes though? He has either overdone the "artificial enhancements". Which I'm not saying he has!! I don't know? Or he genetically doesn't have those lines. Which is kind of paradoxical with the genetically striated glutes.. Also it's just completely against the nature of anatomy to not have any separation at that low of a body fat percentage 🤷‍♂️ I guess we'll find out. 👍

Derek looks really good but comparing his updates to Samson’s, he just doesn’t stack up against Samson’s size. That plus the fact that Samson’s back and conditioning seems to continue to noticeably improve with each show he does, I don’t see Derek ever beating him again.

one of the craziest v tapers and x frames in the world right now. he has a much more aesthetic physique than wesley, theres nothing in the criteria of classic physique that says you need to resemble arnold, was he the only guy to compete in the golden era? classic is judged like bodybuilding with a greater emphasis on aesthetics and presentation theres nothing in the criteria that says u need to resemble the old school guys but even then mikes physique is very reminiscent of a guy like lee haney or brian buchanan with that taper and vacuum. he is also one of the only guys that is able to bring some fullness to his physique, every guy in the top 6 just looks way too depleted, his second place was definetly deserved.
