Always use a torque wrench on critical parts like this. They have specs you need to tighten to.

Hi bud Would you know if its the same concept as rx8's? Ive read it is but would like to see if you know anythig about that?

The rx8 uses a 8 inch ring gear, first gens use a 7inch. The turbo card came with an 8 inch ring gear so those can be used. You will have to swap everything into your carrier because the carriers are different, and I think the FC turbo has the long pinion so those can not be used with any other carrier. Look into S2000 ring and gears, those are the same as well

Mostly because of price and availability, you are still able to find those front differential from $50-$150 depending on the area you’re in. Those kias were rarely ever abused so the gears are usually mint like new condition A set of 4.77 gears from a store or a vendor is over $250

No, they come with the open differential. All you use is the carrier and the gears. You will need the LSD unit from a GSL or an GSL-SE. And only the front differential on the kias is compatible.
