I'm in desperate need of a complete 1985 gsl-se for my build. I'm building a 1979 Toyota Corolla for road race car. The Toyota is a 4x114 bolt pattern. From what I'm researching the 85 GSL SE is 4x114 and limited slip. Exactly what I'm searching for and can't find anything online. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Great information here. Question, I have a 1985 base RX7 with non LSD unit and I want to swap axles from a GSLSE unit, is it possible,if so whats involve. The reason I want to keep the 3.9 ratio for freeway commuting. Thanks

And also I want to change the bolt pattern to 4x114.3

Get a gslse axle housing with disc brakes and swap the third member to the 3.9 one from your original rear axle

Do you know of any good resources on how to swap out the clutch packs in a 3.9 lsd? I managed to score some oem ones still in the packaging

I may be able to figure it out, I have enough spares I could probably do a video on taking one apart. as a matter of fact, I may have just a center section of one laying around.

@@RADPotential He man if your doing the video the diff on my rx7 has two separate spinning wheels unlike an open diff where they spin opppsite of each other. is it like an lsd with the clutchpack being gone entirely? thanks for your time!

I had a kia r+p in my fb. 70mph at almost 4k rpm with an 87-88 n/a trans with 1rst gen tailshaft housing. Not highway friendly, but ok ish.

what size wheel and tire?

235 50 15s. Those 87-88 n/a trans have the lowest 5th gear ratio.

Yea! That's a big tire. I was running nearly 60 mph at 5k rpm with my 4.88 and a rx8 6 speed. With a 195 rally tire on a 14inch wheel.
