I have been trying to get this to work for awhile now but it seems like it's either broken or an update messed things up i can barely even get alvr to work normally let alone get steamvr to detect my qeust 2 and 3 at the same time. Please could we get an updated version of this video

closing and opening steamvr on virtual desktop just closes alvr :(

It does u just dont have a hip but i would just use a app like viso or virtual desktop ai tracking for hip!

Having no success doing this with index, I’m able to run everything in one playspace, like I can see the index, the knuckles, the quest and its controllers but steamvr just can’t output video on index “display connection trouble” whenever I’m “restarting the headset” video output works again on index but ALVR doesn’t seem to stream any data to it anymore

Figured out that It was an issue with my index usb connection, tried every usb port on the motherboard and with one out of the 8 available everything seems to work 90% of the time, weird that usb works flawlessly when running index directly through steamvr but not through alvr… Also ran into an issue where I wasn’t able to turn touch controllers into trackers, they were being detected as an actual lighthouse tracked trackers, therefore impossible to calibrate playspaces… turns out vrchat doesnt even need them to be trackers, they were appearing as controllers but still work as trackers (awesome)

Could you please do a updated version of this video? I manage to get it working but as of the new steamvr updates whenever I turn 90 degrees the controllers become way offset. Not a single person in the ALVR discord server wants to help, I only get "Raised eyebrow reactions" I would really appreciate it and I'm sure others would too. 💖

@@smashboy64 I think it is, especially if u wanna sit or lie down. and so far till now I dont think u'r able to pair a 3rd controller with a quest, so u may have some option like this: - use steam vr tracked device like vive/tundra tracker or vive/index controller (gonna take some effort if u run on controller) - use sth like kinect with ps eye - use a 3rd quest, connect thru oculus client, there will be a program that help u change the input from oculus client to trackers into steam vr; if u have a rift cv1 with 3 controllers u can go this way directly w/o alvr, but theoretically u can run this along with alvr to have to 5 trackers running (2 from alvr, 3 from oculus client)

@@SlappdaBoss In openVR-space calibrator Im unable to perform calibration and I get a message that says " Missing Target Device. Aborting Calibration!" and also,in the "Target Space" section no devices appear in the drop down menu. Do you have any idea whats going on?

@@smashboy64 - check if the quest still running - check if u have chosen to choose to simulate vive tracker - check if u accidentally open oculus menu in the other quest (if its running but doesnt show the controller in steam vr
