One of the only reasons why people still play this game is their addiction to the progression system and the rewards. The responsiveness of your players at 6pm vs 3am is not even comparable. old pes 2021 game just got the current season update. You can download it for free and it's pretty good. Much much better than EA FC gameplay wise. Master league does not have a lot of content so to speak, but it does not matter to me anymore. Gameplay is so good that it does not matter.

What EA has to do is basically what Wwe 2k did, Find a format that works and stick with it for at least a few games, allowing more time to be given to more customisations, Pro clubs and Career mode exetra. Every year they seem to make pointless changes no one asked for (like the menus) and new animations exetra that just seem to come with more gamebreaking glitches The game is generally getting more greedy and less bothered about quality as they know people will still buy into it

That being said, the gameplay is horrendous and is what makes it truly unenjoyable. Funny thing is I'm 41 and now have way more than enough time to play games than I was in my early-mid 20s. Early twenties I had university and going out as my priorities. Mid twenties I had work and family as my priorities. Since my early-to-mid thirties all of that started to settle. Stable job, stable family, stable routine. I got time to play. I work, get home. I make dinner or my partner does. By 7pm we're done. Cleaning lady comes every week to take care of cleaning things. Then we either spent watching something on the tele together or if she watches one of her telenovelas and I go watch football or play games until 12pm. Weekends, some we spent together. Some I spent with the lads and she with her friends. Some we spent together. Some I stay home, some she stays home. Sometimes the lads come over. Sometimes her friends come over. A few times in the summer they all comes over. We've no kids though. It just never happened.

I stopped buying fifa after 18 and seeing the state of the game worsen to now is so sad to see. I feel sorry for the kids who are victim of these games more focused on the gambling aspect of ultimate team to be rewarded with terrible gameplay. I feel so lucky to have grown up playing fifas 06-13. Games now just breed gambling addictions into your kids and fry their dopamine receptors

on pc input makes it impossible as well. Its not only console thing. I have all the time 3-5 ping fibre cable connection and im iceskating all the time, passes after 1 second after i press the button, shooting takes 2 sec so the defender can block the shot. Fast agile dribble is not existing. Even if i get through someone, touches are so awful that defender can reposition himself faster than my movements after successful dribble

I can win against world class. Legendary is insane. They score every corner and free kick. Everyone dribbles like prime Messi and Tika Tika like prime Barcelona. Plus my players feel sluggish. I'm convinced they use sliders

@@svokxz6435 in world class you need to be more direct. Run into open space and pass to the forwards making runs. Don't pass around in middle and look for chances. Get a player and run directly into the defence with close dribbling. When you lose the ball rush to get ball back as fast as you can and don't predict where Ai will go because they will dribble you 100% of the time. Instead close the distance by running straight at them and hard tackle. I got elite 2 top 6% percent of the world doing this with playing most games on world class and winning by like 7-0. Would have got elite 1 3% but lost a match legendary 1-0 last minute free kick bs

One thing that annoys me I played EA college football 25 and I would say this side of 2020 it’s the best sports game I’ve played. It shows when they don’t release a game every year and take time to develop a game they’re capable of good things. It’s worse playing nba2k23 when you play the all eras career mode it just shows what’s possible with career mode. Wouldn’t it be good now playing career mode but setting the date to 2005 when Messi and Ronaldo were about to enter their primes. Or go to the 90’s, 80’s and play your career mode from there. They don’t even dabble with it. Fair play to the kids of today who grind week in week out on fut champs cause as someone who started on fifa 11 ut I’d say to them don’t waste your time and parents money.

At this point it's the consumer's point honestly, people complain every year and rehash the same complaints yet still buy it. Why would EA be motivated to change their product if they know they are gonna earn a shit ton of $ regardless. Fifa 19 was the last fifa I owned and I haven't looked back since.

When you said at the start that you think you might suck because you went “0-8”, you’re probably wrong. I am always an elite rivals player, and historically get 17 out of 20 wins, or this year usually 11/12 wins, so I consider myself quite a handy player. But last two weekends, not only has gameplay been unplayable, but somethings happened to match making. At one point, I was 1-8, matching people who are 8-2. That should be impossible in champs, which means the matchmaking is broken, therefore leading to people who normally do quite well, are now really struggling. Having said that, game feels much better since the recent update.

Like, why is it not possible to view transfers from previous seasons, like their transfer sum? Why is there no way to see how many players of the month or PotM a player received or Ballon d'or? Why can I see xG after a match, but not for the reason?

I consider myself more as a returning FIFA player because I used to love the game when I was a child about eight years to 10 years old. And for me it’s quite interesting because I have lost interest in the game series for quite some time and I only recently got back with FIFA 23 and I like the gameplay there and I felt like 24 was a huge downgrade in comparison. Everything felt more sluggish and “too realistic” . But with 25 I felt like everything just made a little bit more sense than it did in 24 and also if I watch the ball closely and pay attention to the animations I can get past almost everything that I considered to be sluggish beforehand. Once I changed my approach from playing a football game to playing a video game everything just made a little bit more sense to me and I actually gotten quite fond of the gameplay in 25. For me this is an interesting topic because I don’t really have any experience with prior FIFA from 2012 onward I may or may not have played a few games of those but not enough to really make a difference. I feel like I’m sort of one of the few exceptions of people who really enjoy the gameplay.

100% everything you’ve said mate. I love football and I want to play fifa im now 32 but I’ve played fifa since 1998. The game is the biggest piece of shit I’ve ever seen. The older I’ve gotten the more I just don’t care about results. I’m in div 2 I got Torres from the icon pack and does it make me want to play more? Absolutely not. I do the bare minimum on rivals and then play career mode with realistic sliders. Haven’t bothered with champs in 25 I just can’t bring myself towards it.

I've always played PES until they got greedy and released EFOOTBALL without Master League. I've been playing EA FC 25 for the sake of the Manager career. To be fair it's quite decent, I'm enjoying it. I don't know why people think Ultimate Team is the only thing that you can play... EA is just milking everyone on that. Just try some offline modes, apart from Player career because Real Madrid doesn't want me unless I score 10 bicycle kicks in a season (whoever makes these decisions on EA should be subject to interview so we understand rationale). Of course though, I do believe KONAMI and EA understand the money is on selling cards, so perhaps they are making offline mods as miserable as possible - but they still exist people!

There aren't many games I play, but another one is the Resident Evil series. Which isn't fully yearly but it's close and they've been releasing banger after banger. Resident Evil 6 got bad backlash but since than they've released since 2015 they released 6 games ranging between instant classic (Remake 2) and good (Remake 3) and everything inbetween. So maybe, EA should release a new EAFC every two years At this point I'd pay for a classic FIFA remake. They did it for EA NHL a few years ago, I was kind of expecting a classic FIFA at that point, but it never came. I'd love a back to basics "FIFA" games at times. Full reboot, new engine, get rid of the fluff. Get it back to basics.

I just do my work schedule based around how I play fifa this year. On Thursdays until the div rivals rewards are available, I play career mode cause its my day off I want to relax and enjoy my time, I'll spend Thursday night and however long it takes on Friday to grind to the BASE REWARDS cause 5 wins are attainable and I can only deal with that bullshit for so long plus requiring another 10 wins for some bonuses is bullshit. Remember when base rewards were 4 wins and bonuses were 7 I think just 2 years ago. Maybe Saturday Either finish off the divs or complete some SBCs and rush objectives after work and if I have time just playing career. Sunday with Squads rewards out I firmly believe its much better and worth the grind this year than divs. Open those packs, play 4 games over the next 3 nights each and thats squads done so leaves a free night on Wednesday to have a break.
