I gotta say, those Delonghis are GORGEOUS! Especially the custom option ones. The gold, black and wood…. Oooo. And that green with wood and metal accents…. Aaaa.

Hey Tom, I really enjoy your informative videos, especially about the superautomatic espresso machines. Would it be possible to review the DeLonghi Magnifica plus in the future if you have a chance? It's a relatively new machine, however looks like a great one choice. It's budget-friendly however it has higher-end features similar to the Dinamica. Thanks

Thanks so much! The Magnifica Plus looks pretty cool. Man, there's so many models...I think the Magnifica Plus will likely be similar to the Dinamica Plus.

Moin Tom! Alles klar? I enjoyed the video, esp the Lelit demo. Interestingly the machine can replicate a lever, so is that something you would recommend? Do you use a lever espresso machine? Danke schoen.

So more and more companies offer those "hybrid" machines which are a cross betweeen classic portafilter machines and fully automatic coffee machines. I guess since the target group are not the espresso nerds they all look a bit cheap and made of plastic but the Sage looks not that bad. So that is the first like fully automatic portafilter, it grinds directly in the portafilter and even tamp it.

Oracle Jet is is in full swing here in the States. Getting some mixed reviews. Many are saying that they don't like all the help you get with the computer on the machine. You can turn it off or on only. Not eliminate some of the messages only. Sounds like too much Ai to me!

The La Specialista looks amazing imo. But I do not get, why they put so much effort into the design, and leaving the tamping and grinding as it is.

It's pretty, but it seems like a worse Touch impress for what I think is more money. (I'm in the UK, so I'm not too familiar with Euro pricing)
@danbarb972810 күн бұрын
I am pretty sure that the glossy parts like the gold etc is cheap plastic, for me those machines look pretty cheap compared the typical portafilter machines from lets say Ascaso or lets say a E61 machine. I am sure the price is not cheap but it still has the cheap plastic chrome look. To be fair those machines have grinders build in for a price of like 1300 Euro, the typical DF64 grinders are like 500 alone, so yes maybe you can not expect a metal housing

I will wait for the full review but it seems Delonghi might have dropped the ball with the new Specialita: Same old hopper with few grind settings, the new tamper does not seem that good, does not seem to have smart grind recommendations (like the latest sage and ninja), and finally, the auto steam apparatus seems like a fuss and two more things to clean (why not use the same system that's in the Dedica?)
@TomsCoffeeCorner10 күн бұрын
There are certianly better options at this price, and I also don't know why they don't make a better grind adjustment...

Im wondering how many those De'Longhi machines sell, considering for the price (actually cheaper!) I got a Mara X. Yes, you wait for the heatup, but longevity and quality are just on a different level for less money. At this price point, why dont one just get a full automatic - it will probably deliver the same quality if coffee without any manual intervention. 🤔
@TomsCoffeeCorner10 күн бұрын
I agree with you, but the Mara X isn’t available in all markets. Delonghi’s advantage is their worldwide availabley.
@ffsolutions944210 күн бұрын
@@TomsCoffeeCorner Yes, absolutely! I actually had a Dedica which I modified quite a bit, influenced by your channel! ☺️ The Mara I imported from Italy, even with shipping and getting the white version, it was cheaper than the stainless steel version in Bulgaria.

Breville/Sage owns Lelit nowadays. Did that come up somehow?
@TomsCoffeeCorner10 күн бұрын
Yes, Breville owns Lelit. They wanted to add an Italian-made brand to their portfolio. Good move for both companies, I think, as now Lelit has more funding as well.

Oddly, the Bianca and the Oracle Jet are the two machines I've had my eye on. Seems like an odd duo, but it's the war between the coffee nerd and the tech head in me. I think the Jet will win out though. I just like it. And realistically, I'm big enough to admit that while flow profiling sounds interesting, at my skill level it will just provide many new and interesting ways for me to ruin my coffee lol. Also I don't really want boilers... sacrilege, I know.
@TomsCoffeeCorner10 күн бұрын
Yes, they are both nice machines, albeit different. The Bianca is super pretty, and has the aforementioned flow control via paddle, which is cool. But yes, it does add another variable to think about. My biggest argument for the Jet over Bianca is the speed. The E60 brew group needs minimum 30 minutes to be fully warm - 60 is even better. I just don't have the patience for that. The Jet on the other hand is ready in minutes.
@fuzziestlumpkin10 күн бұрын
@@TomsCoffeeCorner That's exactly my feeling on dual boilers. I see the value if you need half a dozen drinks at once, but for someone who only does one or two at a time they're just a big waste of time and energy. I don't suppose Sage gave you any hint on a release date? My guess is next month.
