You're better than me, I bought a bm3 license in 2021 same time of year, still haven't tuned it... I'm just too scared nowadays

You’ll be fine. They blew up their n20 due to negligence. Went drifting and didn’t check oil levels before hand nor added the 0.5 quarts of overflow to prevent oil starvation. Their baffle appears to work for straight movements, but not side to side as the n20 is known to have oil starvation issues with long sweeping right hand turns. Their baffle didn’t fix this.

I'd love to see a DIY video on in-car rod bearing replacement for the N20. Originally I planned to replace them when doing the timing chain/guides/etc, but wasn't confident how to do it correctly. After successfully replacing the timing chain and components (thanks to FCP Euro's part 2 video series), I'd be more comfortable tackling rod bearings. Also plan to install the new oil baffle at the same time for piece of mind. Thanks FCP Euro!

Thanks for watching and we're glad to hear the install was a success! Long live the N20! Hopefully we'll have some better circumstances to show an in-car rod-bearing replacement in the near future!

Not the update any of us in the community were wanting or expecting 🙃 tbh. Good luck hopefully it lasts. I did reply to your email as well a few months back, haven't seen a reply.

Would be awesome to see builds like this on Porsche (Audi) 4 cylinder and Porsche 2.9 V6 as well. I guess those don't fail anywhere near as much as BMW engines these days though so probably harder to get cores.

I didn’t catch the failure video. Was it on track and how many miles were on the engine? Cause didn’t it run around 350 hp?

This is interesting cause I just tracked my N20 on stock suspension and just some grippy ass tires. Bad body roll out the ass but not real engine mods except a catch can, gfb diverter valve and turbo inlet. To see this motor go like this was concerning so I’m really hoping my stock motor takes more abuse because I’m not tryna push power.

How do you prime the turbo and engine?

i've been waiting for this video so long. Previous n20 build had OEM bearings?
