New FD exhaust sounds great! My FD catback had that "stinger" reducer design at the tip as well and I put a die grinder and worn down cut-off wheel up the exhaust tip and cut it out. Didnt change tone, but definitely louder.

I did this same thing for a highly modified Invidia Q300 S2000 exhaust I built a while back. The RE exhaust is 3.5" vs 3" of the rest of my system so I am hoping that it balances out a little. The exhaust does get boomy when it's hot so, so I am trying to keep the noise levels tolerable. We are almost done with tuning at 21 psi up from 15 psi, if I'm giving up a couple HP because of the internal silencer so be it. The car goes pretty damn good now regardless lol

2 rotors can sound a bit 4 cylinder-y, and not always in the best way, but this is pretty spot on! And I have the same problem with the Racing Beat as you had with the RE, other side of the world, and shipping is killer 😢

Great video! You are right about the twin tip vs the single tip. I bought my single tip R.B exhaust back in 1999. It is sad to hear that R.B is cutting corners. The new exhaust sounds good, looks good and the weight reduction is just the icing on the cake. I also like the fact that the exhaust is pointed down wards. My car shoots out large flames and I have a fire extinguisher in the car just in case. Loving the rotary content!!! Brap on

The sound of a rotary reminds me of a two stroke in some ways. A two stroke weedwhacker dosent sound very good, but a nice two stroke bike with a high quality exhaust has a special sound, that most people may still find offputting.

The re amemiya dolphin tail I had it has built-in silencer / restrictor, which turn the exhaust into a 2.5". you can found it wtth a torch look through the tip. I sold mine.

Agree! It's the best period. I'm pretty sure they use mm, so if it's 80mm that's a tick over 3 in. diameter. Get that REW tuned already :)
