I had just bought this cross about a month ago I can't wait to see it bloom either. Since its in bark, in the summer time you may have to water it a little more frequently. Mine was in bark mix but I was very gentle and removed what bark that come out then filled it back in with my sphagnum mix. Thanks for sharing.

It looks beautiful, and very big! I happened to notice this morning that this same orchid is available now here in Europe from a German nursery. Usually it's difficult to find any interesting and different catasetums around here, and only recently more options are becoming available, so I was happy to see this one being sold in Europe. If I had more space, I would get one. It costs almost 40 euros.

+Orchids & a Dutchy Yes, they are pretty pricey. Glad it made it's way over there,it's a lovely orchid to have in your collection. I'll keep you posted once it has spiked or anything. Right now it's not doing much just growing more roots. Thanks for watching.

Am I seeing this right, but does your catesetum have FIVE pseudobulbs?! That's amazingly healthy and the pseudobulbs are huge. I think Carmela sent you a most beautiful AND a top quality orchid. That's a great deal for this orchid, they are usually so expensive 😩
