I AM NOT SURE WHAT CAUSED IT BUT THERE WAS A WOMAN IN THERE WHEN THEY GOT THERE.....AND YES THAT WAS A HOMELESS CAMP WITH LOTS OF RUBBISH AND SUCH SADLY.....NICE TO HEAR FROM YA AND HOPE YOU ARE WELL MY FRIEND.....THANKS SO MUCH ROBERT.....

In my days growing up in Brooklyn and attending Pratt Institute, I spent a lot of time driving on the BQE. I don't know exactly where this fire was located but "homeless encampments" was not an understandable term then. Again, great response by the FDNY, as their challenges seem to multiply as every day passes. Great coverage, JJ! Thanks to the FDNY! While circumstances have taken me away from NYC. I love that city and saw the FDNY in action in a house fire across the street from my home on Bay 20th street in Brooklyn around 1950, and have been an admired them ever since.

THIS AREA OF THE BQE WAS RIGHT ON TOP OF THE TILLARY STREET ENTRANCE HEADING TOWARDS QUEENS AND VERY NEAR THE FIREHOUSE......GLAD YOU ENJOY THE VIDEOS AND THEY BRING YOU GOOD MEMORIES.....THANKS SO MUCH BOB.....

@@THEMAJESTIRIUM1 I know the Tillary St, entrance well. When I attended Pratt Institute (1956-1969), I rented an apartment with 3 other guys on Willoughby Avem looking towards Myrtle Ave and the BQE!
