Stay out of the way of the firefighters! If you are that close, you're too close! There are at least two aerials to the roof there, seen from the ground view, but I can only see one. That means you are between firefighters and one of their escape routes

The other ladder you are talking about the 2nd one wasn't behind him and the one visible in the video. That ladder wasn't placed to the roof, but the top floor window next to the ladder you're talking about. At 2:16 in the video it is plainly visible to the top floor window, and not the roof.

I was on a completely separate building from the fire building. I wasn’t in anybody’s way and I never get in the way. I get as close as I am allowed to and as close as is safely possible.
