At 2:08, Kenny DeFranco L-132, son of the respected and famed Danny DeFranco UFA trustee. Kenny was a great young man and a great Fireman...his father would be proud of him. I am and had the pleasure of working with him on St Johns Pl ! :)

Those long coats and 3/4 boots went away just a year later. Makes you wonder how many more cases of heat-related illness there were when they started putting these guys into the new turnout gear. It keeps steam off of you, but you'll cook like a potato inside of it.

Did I hear the commentator say twice already the word military? That's funny because he said in the beginning no military experience could help anyone. Yet this is done in a military fashion during this video.

All City Fire is a para military format. In Pittsburgh all city fire fighters are formerly military.. im sure there's an exception to this rule but I've yet to see it. Mostly marines are PBF

Probie class ‘93? I wonder how many of those guys were killed on 9/11. 😢
@zachandersson12865 ай бұрын
Probably half of them. Either during 9/11 or due to the cancer from working the pile. RIP Heroes.
